Love the character this kid exudes, looking forward to seeing him develop at the next level in Athens….
Very nice article about the struggles this young man has faced in his young life. And how he has persevered, fought through, and worked to better himself.
This is the kind of young man you really want to cheer for, and I hope he takes advantage of everything that UGA has to offer. Reading this story reminds me of how times have changed; when I was at UGA in the 80s, Gerald Browner, the youngest of the famous Browner brothers, was on the team. Gerald was 300lbs+ and Coach Dooley didn't want 300-pounders on the team, so Gerald would have to run/walk the track every day in the offseason. The coaches now want every lineman to weigh 300+.
Good story. I hope this young man and his doctors find a way to control this disease. Wish him the best.
Fantastic story! Awesome young man. PRaying for you Zykie if you read this.
