I must have missed the part in Kiff's response about the 4th string RB who had -4 yards on 1 carry at that point in the game…thoughts Lane?
WHat everyone seems to be missing is yes the RT missed his block but there was still a BAMA safety mirroring Cash. We may get the first down or maybe not. He was tackled what 5 yards for a loss? I've heard Kirby say if the tackle gets his man CAsh walks into the endzone. I'm not seeing it. I mean maybe if Cash sips by the safety, but it wasn't a foregone conclusion IMO.
It Was The Lose of MOMENTUM The Had! Ala would have been out scored 10-0 at that point. Forget would CJ gotten in or a 1st down etc. That series totally pumped them up….game over
I think what everyone is missing is WHY…why was Cash in and the other 3 elite RBs who had amassed well over 200 yards standing on the sidelines waving pompoms?
Hey Gator, come back sometime and we will explain how the CFP works, since it’s been a minute since the BCS was used. uGA has beaten teams like Oklahoma, Michigan, Bama, Ohio State, and TCU in the CFP. Maybe the Gators can play when it becomes a 50 team playoff lol.
I've only got one thing to say about that: WHO CARES WHAT LAME KIFFIN HAS TO SAY?! So much of his team was built by people he did not develop, and who have no real connection to his program. That dude is a T. U. R. D. who thrives on controversy, and just needs to insert his name wherever he can to get recognition.
That said, the one thing I do respect about him was his support of his QB a couple years ago after the "popcorn" game. That WAS a standup moment.
I generally don't like @#$&-talking on boards but this was dadgum HILARIOUS!!! (and totally earned by a UF troll 🤔🧐🤣)
He was in because the previous plays bowens had gotten gassed from all his.running and mccray was out being banged up from a stinger. The whole purpose was to go.fast so you get the perfect play and numbers that they did get so you cant sub even if wanted to or you lose that. Would everyone wish someone else was out there? Yes, but it didnt work out that way and it would not have mattered who was out there bc gaston let Overton threw the ol untouched. They got beat on the play. Its unfortunate bc they got exactly what they wanted with alabama misaligned and all the numbers on their side in the run game. Just a tiny bit of a block and it's a 1st down or td.
My old HS would probably be willing to spot UF a few points out of charity before they Curb Stomped them !! 🤣😀
Simply not true, Bowens made a 6 yard run with 1 second left in the 3rd quarter. McCray replaced him and ran a couple of times, and was replaced by Cash for two plays including the ill fated one on 4th down, a full 5 minutes plus in real time including end of 3rd quarter break after Bowens went out. If he was still gassed perhaps he isn’t the athlete he showed out to be in this game…did I mention we still had 3 timeouts left as well? There is no excuse, none,for CashJones to have been in there on that 4th down hurry up and trickm Vols style play…if running the ball was the plan.
We run for the most yards we've run in a long time with those freshmen, but one missed a block. That's how it goes with freshmen. Looking at the play, their line was loaded to our left, and the right was wide open. Good play call, bad execution. You live and die with freshmen sometimes. In a year or two those freshmen are going to be an anchor. Heck, they might grow up this season and have us in the SEC championship game. Having two injured OL certainly doesn't help. I'm not in panic mode at this point. We'll see where we are when old miss comes to town. Go Dawgs!
@D1Athlete1987
What your response omits is that Cash Jones even being on the depth chart at this point is a problem. There is no way that he is the 3rd string RB for any other SEC team.
@bigdawg88 You can't blame "execution" on a play that had very little chance to work with in the first place. Kind of like that fake punt debacle in the SECCG. An RPO to the right side of the line with a QB starting his 2nd ever SEC game and an undersized walkon RB was a low percentage play. Plus it shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the concept "tempo." Tempo only works if the defense either doesn't know what is coming because you have proven multi-dimensional players on the field or can't stop it because you have an overwhelming talent (or execution) advantage. In this instance with Gunner Stockton at QB, Cash Jones at RB plus the OL, TEs and WRs that UGA has, neither was the case.
