No pass rush/lane integrity and zero push. Plus they seem to run into each other or simply fall down too often. It’s definitely a head-scratcher.

"I don’t feel good about the stats. But, again, you can’t look at stats"

Kirby, uh, please stay away from utilizing Dan Mullen's "except for the final scores we were better in every phase" type euphemisms. You have a team of statisticians on your staff, so obviously you do look at stats and you can even reach reasonable conclusions based on some of them. Here's one that may have helped in the Bama game btw, no charge for pointing them out…Cash Jones has run the ball 6 times for minus5 yards so far this season. On the flip side he has caught 10 passes for 70 yards and a TD. Next time you want to "hurry up" and try to trick someone on 4th down and Cash is in the game, may want to consider a QB roll out and swing pass to Cash in the flat. You're welcome.

Miami's entire defense is impressive. They all fly all over the field and hit like their lives depend on it. Reminded me of how UGA was with RSmith, NDean, Channing Tindall and QWalker.

Kirby doesn't care what you say because, gosh darn it, he sees what Cash Jones does in practice. As a matter of fact, that's often Kirby's retort when a certain part of the team is criticized. Remember early in the year when people criticized Stockton's ability to throw deep. Kirby's response: "He does it all the time in practice." Now he's taking that same stance about the D-Line and the pass rush. Problem is, Kirby ain't bringing in $11 million a year for being champions of practice. Also, one of Kirby's worst traits is that he never seems to give any consideration to constructive criticism. I hear Palmer's comments on ESPN, and the tone in which he gave them. He wasn't being harsh or even mean. He was just pointing out that a little creativity might help improve the pass rush. And he just MIGHT be right. if nothing else, when you are second to last in the SEC in a certain area, it might be worth it to try new things.

Defenders need to be taught to fight through holds no matter what it takes. It may take a penalty or two, but if you hurt a couple of these cheating offensive linemen they won't be so eager to hold the next time.

I’m worried about this game. Actually I’m concerned about all of them except Charlotte. I didn’t watch the entirety of Ky game as I was flipping to USAF/Navy as well. Of all the commentators on college football, I think only Gus Johnson’s team is worse than Tessatore/Palmer. I spent a fair amount of time watching the gamecast on SEC Network so I didn’t have to listen to them. There were so many plays (when I was watching) that replays weren’t shown and commentary wasn’t done. Kelly’s first PI for example, looked clean to me. No replay, instead we heard them doing some promo or something. I certainly don’t care about Palmer’s thoughts on the Golden Bachelor.

the top 3 problems facing UGA are all coaching problems… in general, we have substandard coaches. Everybody lnows it.
