College systems are complex and it takes a lot of study and mental work to get the job done. Gunner is growing. Growing means some mistakes, but he's handling it. This team in general is growing and handling mistakes. They seem to work hard to get better. They'll have another test this weekend of blitzes and alignments. Can they block hard and handle some adversity? We'll see.

As a side note, kids choose programs based on the sales pitch. I wonder if Lagway reflects on his choice?

My thinking is it’s not as much about evaluation as it is being coached up and taught the importance of team first. Unlike Napier, who you never saw do any real coaching on the sideline during games, Kirby and his staff are constantly coaching these guys up during games. I don’t think a whole lot of programs push their players to the limit, to the breaking point if you will, like the Dawg staff does.
We have seen, over the years, many 3* players come through this program with its emphasis on hard work and team first and go on to have NFL careers. Go Dawgs!

Such a horrible article. Keep improving Gunner. DJ overcome your injuries and continue to get reps. Both are doing just fine.

I certainly won’t diss on or disrespect DJ, he has always conducted himself with class and dignity, just as Gunner has. They’re both great players and team leaders and I am sure I speak for 99% of the other coaches in the country, I would love to have either of these QBs leading my team. I wish DJ only the best…AFTER this week!

The Dawgs’ defense need to get DJ on the ground when they get a chance Saturday or it’s going to be a long day. I know he’s struggled at times this season, but he’s still big strong and talented.

Yep, I think that Gunner is the exact type of QB that excels in a Georgia program. This isn't a "West Coast" offense and many of his longer passes seem to be off, but his short game and judgment overall seem to be excellent. Hopefully this week off was a help for the Georgia Offense. I want to see a well-oiled-machine out there. No rust!
