Does this clown not know that if UGA moves up in the rankings they will have a bye on the weekend that teams are hosting first round games? There is a very good chance that this happens if the Dawgs win out. If UGA wins out and does NOT make the SEC Championship game they still have a very good shot at moving into the top four because Buckeyes play Hoosiers, and there is no guarantee that the two teams occupying number 3 & 4 spots are going to stay there. Dawgs need to keep chopping, win their schedule, and things will indeed be "peachy" whether they play in Peach Bowl or not!
I'm not sure how much I like long layoffs for this Georgia team…I mean their only loss came after a bye week, and they messed around with a Gator team that had just fired their coach after the next bye. Looking back to last year they looked miserable and flat against ND after a long layoff. If we're looking ahead to playoff rankings, a 5-8 spot could actually be the best place to land. It's fun to look ahead for us fans, but I sure hope the team is focused only on MSU, a team whose only two losses at home have come in OT.
@railroadtrack1 Yes, the top four teams in the rankings do get a bye, but this article was intended to outline the path for UGA to get multiple games in the state of Georgia, and how a game could be played in Athens should Georgia fall outside the top four — which they are currently projected (but by no means guaranteed) to do. There's a lot of football left, and plenty of room for speculation! I appreciate your feedback and comments!
