Napier knows Georgia’s next foe well, having already beaten the Texas Longhorns this year when he was the head coach at Florida. Napier was fired in October, giving him plenty of free time.

Lol, "it's good having him in my corner" - this is like the college football version of "Survivor."

Agreed! They have executed a few screens to Wingo that have gone for big yardage….

It's not the pass itself, it's the overall execution. We run it with no blockers whereas alabama had a host of them. Heck, even when they ran it with the O-Lineman, he had blockers. I even made that comment during the live game. If you're going to run it, put up a wall.

I’ve got the solution for next year’s Defensive Line !! Have Kirby call Ricky Tidwell’s Mama, her real name’s Doris but their gonna call her To Tall !! On a triple option play she’ll ruin your day !! For those that don’t know it’s a joke !! See Tim Wilson (RiP Tim) on YouTube Ricky Tudwell’s Mama !! She even washes their jock straps for Em !! 🤣 Just a bit of humor on a beautiful day and I’m feeling better and ready for our Dawgs to crush them short horns !! Go Dawgs !! Now go get Doris she’s a 5 star keeper !! Her only NIL is ten super size boxes of Value Detergent !! 🤣

They had more blockers on the screen passes than Georgia usually does.

Yep. Agree. It’s not like I’ve done an in depth study on him or anything. But I have watched him a fair bit and If our Dawgs can get some pressure on him his accuracy falls off a good bit and he’ll be prone to an INT. But in fairness many QBs do that under pressure. Just gotta find a way to turn the burners up on him !!

I don't believe that the Dawgs that Simpson beat are the same Dawgs that little Manning will face. For that matter I don't think Simpson can beat the Dawgs again. UGA has been improving more and more in the areas that need improving. Bama has NOT improved in the areas that they have needed to. They are very fortunate to have had Saban's refs in Baton Rouge or they very well could have lost that game. They looked awful against Mizzou as well. Of course they are talented, but it seems that their new coach spent all his time on the early season UGA game, probably why they looked so bad against that sorry FSU team. I think the dawgs beat Bama in a rematch, would even bet on it straight up, so go talk to Simpson about it and see if you can replicate that little man. The Dawgs ain't skeered!

I agree with your take here. I honestly believe that if our Dawgs faced Bama this Sat. we’d win in a rematch. Now as for TX they are a good team, Arch seems to be getting better. I look for it to be a tough challenge. BUT if our Dawgs don’t beat them on a Sat. night between the hedges with Sanford Stadium rocking then perhaps as much as I Love our Dawgs. Perhaps they won’t deserve a playoff spot.

I’m probably angering some of my fellow Dawgs fans by saying that. But look the playoffs will be or Should be much more difficult especially if the Dawgs get past the first game to move on to the second level. Compare that to playing TX at home, at night, in front of a capacity full roaring crowd at Sanford stadium.

But here’s the thing I honestly believe the Dawgs WILL beat TX. I don’t know what the final score will be but our Dawgs will win by 10 points. Dawgs break away very late in the third qtr.or very early in the fourth if you prefer and Dawgs Defense stop TX from matching. That’s my take.

So if you put that in context that’s what I mean by Perhaps our Dawgs don’t deserve to be in the playoffs with a loss to TX under those conditions.

P.S. Glad we’re playing TX instead of TAMU !! The Aggies are on fire at the moment and so far don’t look to be cooling off. I’d rather take them on deeper into the playoffs !!

Simpson did not beat Georgia. A boneheaded play called on 4th down instead of tying the game is what doomed the Dawgs against bama.

I would love to see Sunbelt Billy in an asst coach role in Athens. He may not be HBC material but he certainly would be a welcome addition in lower profile position. He recruits well and is a class act.
