"The important metric to know for three or four team tiebreakers will be conference opponent winning percentage. Given Georgia played Ole Miss and Texas A&M, the Bulldogs get a big boost over those teams in that metric."

I'm sure this is just a typographical error, but it could add to the confusion if not corrected. It should read "Ole Miss and Alabama" instead of Texas A&M. Otherwise, thank you for a very clear and accurate explanation of the SECCG picture. It was butchered earlier this week in an article here and left a lot of Dawgnation more confused than we were before we read it.

He said what he had to say. I still like the bye with no SECCG combo.

They are as good as "IN", as far as I'm concerned. Heck…Ole Miss may be "IN", too.

There's NO WAY..…both, Bama & A&M win their final game. I'd bet half the farm on it. Lol

Both teams are Ripe for upsets. And, history supports that outcome.

    Go Dawgs!

"and Texas A&M a distance fourth at .229."

    Code speak for way overrated…

I'd rather not play the game. It doesn't help your playoff chances if you win the SEC Champ. Kirby has to say that.

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, an SEC Championship IS something to brag about; however, a bye week to rest and heal injuries and then play a home playoff game is good too. If Georgia wins out without a chance to be in the SEC Championship we should get the 5th seed in the playoffs and draw the worst team (last one) that makes it into the playoff. If we play in the SEC Championship, win or lose, there's always a chance some key player(s) get injured and we enter the playoffs shorthanded. I guess you have to weigh the risk/reward…

Does nobody proof read the articles before they are posted? UGA didn't play A&M and their record in conference play is 7-1.

    Garbage produced daily.
    Tough to read.

We did not play A&M obviously and

If "…four teams have a path to play in the SECCG". Name all four !!! And

    UGA is 7-1 in confrence….

    SLOPPY AS ALWAYS!

I believe the calculations in the article are incorrect. Alabama's SEC foes have a 26-28 record while UGA foes have a 25-29 record. Ole Miss's foes are 20-31. Interesting A&M's SEC foes are a miserable 15-39. They have not yet played an SEC opponent with a winning record within the conference, not until they play Texas assuming Texas wins one of their next two SEC games. They are 4-2 at the present time with Arkansas and A&M left.

Assuming the big 10 championship game is between Ohio State and Indiana the loser of that game could very well drop below UGA providing we win out. If Ohio State were to lose they might remain ahead of UGA in that scenario since they seem to receive favoritism by the media world and the committee. So, if the chips were to fall just right UGA could possibly be the number 2 team entering the playoffs. Long shot but not impossible.

Win out (including stomping both CLT and Tech), stay healthy, and let the chips fall as they may with momentum on our side. Go Dawgs!

Imo....the calculations are close enough [for gov't work, Lol]. It's all gonna change soon.

The only thing, that will remain the same...is UGA. They're built to sustain and practice to beat "everybody"....while holding true to the Standard. "Better...never rests". Cliche', cliche', cliche'....Yada Yada Yada. Lol

It's not about Them....it's about US. UGA won't lose another game. That's ALL that's important. I'd love to see em win, both....the SECC & The Natty. All they need now...is "opportunity". They're READY!!!
