If Stetson didn’t win it with back to back nattys then no QB from Georgia will. They only look at numbers not leadership. To me Hunter winning it was awesome, just as Hines Ward should have when he played like a 100 different positions

Yeah he had a shed a tear at the 50 yds line. It’s like Kirby was telling him.. it’s ok big guy

We need to get a early lead on them

@TSwood Stetson had a lot more help…. Brock Bowers was arguably the greatest college football tight end in history, and every defensive opponent I spoke to said he was the key — they had no way to defend him, no matter how they plotted. Georgia also had a prolific defense, so there was no need for come-from-behind wins.

I think if Gunner can get UGA to SEC title game, and the Dawgs win, he'll be in New York as a finalist. I'm a Heisman voter, and that could be enough to get him in the top 3 of my vote.

@Eastmandawg I'm not so sure about the "hate" factor — Carson helped those guys make a lot of money with his passes. I think outsiders don't realize that players in the UGA program don't dislike each other — they may not be big buddies, but there's a lot of mutual respect, and remember, Carson sat the bench for three years and waited it out without transferring. Now, once he got paid, he was silly to put it all over social media. But the guy wasn't out creating bad headlines off the field. In my opinion, and introvert by nature who had some social awkwardness and overcompensated. My experiences with him, he was always polite and professional, and he's done nothing but speak well of Kirby and UGA. Him complimenting his new teammates should not be taken as offensive — I'm sure it was not meant to be.

I have to agree. Without King's savvy and daring....Tech would be a 4 loss team, right now. Imo....they would not be the same. Loss of their stud RB Jamal Haynes could have a similar effect on the Tech offense.

IMO....Ga Tech's success is directly proportional to the success of the Haynes boys.

However....I can't say the same for the Dawgs. Too much talent on the offensive and defensive side of the football....for the loss of a starting QB, or any one player, to have a "sustained negative impact" on their future.

Imo....Gunner is still improving. He's really close to peak...but, he's still got a few things to clean up. I feel a little privileged to have been able to watch his development, over the last few years.

NOT the same quarterback that arrived in Athens. Funny thing is....he seems to be "the same person". He hasn't changed a bit, that I can detect. Lol.…but, I don't know him....I'm just sayin.

Stockton seems well grounded and adjusted, which allows him to work through the noise and focus. I think Beck let the noise get to him. The Heisman and NFL Draft talk....turned his head and widened his focus.

Imo....that's why Stockton is about to win a Natty....and, Beck is struggling to rema8n relevant.

Somebody will give Beck a shot at the next level. I think he's earned that. What he does with it....will be foreshadowed by how he handles the adversity he currently faces.

Kirby gave him...[all of em]... the coping tools they need to navigate through the dark places. Let's see what he does with em. Did he learn anything, during his time in "The Program"?.

    Go Dawgs!!!
