Georgia football clinches spot in 2025 SEC Championship Game, waits to learn opponent
Georgia wrapped up SEC play with a 35-10 win over Texas back on Nov. 15, finishing league play with a 7-1 record. Georgia beat Georgia Tech 16-9 on Friday to move to 11-1 on the season.

I have a pretty hard time believing we’ll play OM…
So… time to get ready to crush the tide. We’re a pretty different team than they played at the beginning of the season. I haven’t watched but a few of their games, but from what I’ve watched, I don’t really know that they’ve changed all that much.
This has been an Awesome Thanksgiving Football Holidays for this ole man !! First Navy beat a very good Memphis team. And in case Dawgs fans have forgotten Memphis HC made a smart alecky comment about UGA in the preseason !! So in an indirect way Navy helped get some revenge.
Also my ole HS West Laurens won the quarter finals vs a very good Jenkins team to advance to the Semifinals !! They won 21-16 and Ty Cummings the young RB I’ve been promoting on here so much contributed 230 yds to the effort !! Last but by no means least our beloved Dawgs beat the Bugs to advance to the SECCG !! No it wasn’t one of their best games but they Won. And How they won has little to nothing to do with their next opponent which I’m thinking more than apt will be Bama !!
And I Believe our Dawgs Can and Will Win in this rematch !! If our Dawgs win the Bama folks will shed much more tears than we did with a regular season loss !! Go Dawgs !! Keep the sugar plums we want a Win !! 😀
We will see if AL still has UGA's number. The '25 version of UGA D has struggled with pass rush and good passing teams. That is AL.
A UGA win over AL in the SECCG should knock AL out of the playoffs.
I agree they are definitely beatable. No need to fear them, respect yeah, fear no. If a couple of plays would have went the Dawgs way could have beat them the first time. But I’m not big on coulda, shoulda, woulda.
The GT game has little to no bearing on vs Bama or Any other team. Each game is unique to its own. Dawgs are not 11-1 by accident or because someone felt sorry for them. Like most teams that play in the SEC both our Dawgs and Bama have had their good and bad moments.
Practice, Prepare, Execute. Kirby wants to beat them in the worse way as does his players, as do us fans. Dawgs made a couple slips the first time, maybe it’s Their turn to make a couple of slips This time. In a game like that every misstep can hurt you.
The game vs GT didn’t look good on Offense but Bama has had some games like that to. So let’s Rumble !! I think our Dawgs can get the upper hand this time !! Go Dawgs !!.
Was hoping we could sit this one out to rest and heal, but we’re in it now so we got heal up fast and get after it. Defense is coming together nicely and Offense had a bad day but that happens occasionally. We missed Drew Bobo more than most folk realize. I love this team and our coaches no hero’s and no goats. Our only weakness is some of our fickle expert fans.
call me a conspiracy theorist but I feel this was planned the whole time to get bama in and lobby for as many sec teams as possible.
really wish we coulda rested. Unless they have a revival healing service on campus between now and then UGA is gun a be playing at only about 75%.
The way I look at it being in the SEC's gives us two chances to win a championship, something most teams can only dream about, Go Dawgs.

this was a team effort dud on offense. It was obvious their intention was to control the clock and keep tech’s o off the field, which they did. First half running game was excellent with the starting o linemen. Then they got hurt, read on another media Bobo broke his foot. Toliver did not fill in adequately, missed blocks and regularly snapped a little off target, disrupting rythym. Gunner was off all night: horrible decision on int, which he admitted. sideline passes were generally off target to well covered receivers, one completion to a wide open Branch crossing the middle was off target and thrown much harder than was needed. Ease up just a bit and Branch is still running. Even his running was suspect in my opinion. One third down he tried running over a safety for the first, failed, when a simple spin at contact would have made the tackle off center and his momentum likely carried through to the first down. I’m generally not a Bobo basher, but play calling was generic and unimaginative, and execution matched. We did just enough to accomplish the goal, +10 minutes TOP for the game and our defense was amazing.
If Bobo is out we are in deep trouble!!
I want Alabama. Their QB can’t play a better game than he did in Athens. The best state for highschool football is GEORGIA. Best coaches best players in a small area competing against each other. The state of Texas has realized that. Creekside beat Desota like a bass drum. This could happened but have not looked into it all the way. Could TAMU, Texas, Texas Texas Tech, North Texas and SMU all be in the Playoff this year. The oil money is endless and this is just beginning. Look who is getting the top Georgia players in 2027.
