- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

If we don’t beat Bama this Saturday it’s obviously a mental thing. Should have won the game in Athens by 10-14 points. We were the better team, but shot ourselves in the foot that day. Go Dawgs. Get it done in convincing fashion this time.
hey Kirby, if you get a chance to tie bama late on a 4th down, kick the FG and let the defense settle it.
I hope the offense gets worked out and Bobo loses his screen pass play
Be sure to outbid Bama on the Refs. 🙄
Well at least Kirby will come out a winner one way or another…….
For playing in the SEC Championship, he gets a $100,000 bonus, with an additional $200,000 if Georgia wins the title, totaling $300,000 for that part of the season. The total amount of his earnings for playing in the SEC Championship depends on how much additional money he makes from other bonuses and his base salary.
Last season he earned $800,000 in bonuses for reaching the SECCG, winning the SEC title and making the CFP quarterfinals.
I think the priority is correct with Coach Smarr, while the national attention is all about being National Champions, it is now more of a single elimination tournament where any hot team can win it.
Keep in mind that the #1 team and #1 Team are also playing in the conference game.
Either way, the first goal should always be winning your conference.
I literally LOLed at my keyboard on this one… good advice!
all you dawg fans of dawgnation, be prepared to tighten your jaws and prepare for major frustrations. The sec office will do everything in its power to ensure bama wins this game to get them in the cfp. Don’t expect an evenly officiated game. (Tongue in cheek, of course).
”Winning the SEC championship game this season does not guarantee that Georgia will get a first-round bye. The five highest-ranked conference champions get automatic bids into the field. The four highest-ranked teams get the first-round byes.”
In what world would we go from the ranking we already have to something lower if we win the SECCG?
Wild!
Interesting take but probably not CKS's primary motivation. He certainly benefits financially. But building a dominant, winning culture is about preparing to win every game and chomping at the bit for every opportunity to unleash on another opponent.
Striving to be a champion, playing for championships and expecting to be a champion with proper preparation is the standard CKS is trying to make inherent in UGA DNA. It doesn't take a week off to rest up for the playoffs. "We rested up before 2 other teams played for the SEC championship" does not help recruiting.
All that being said, watch out for the ref's this week. The SEC would probably get 5 teams in the playoff w/a AL win. A UGA win probably drops the inclusion total to 4 SEC teams. The SEC would benefit from an AL win.
The old saying is "It's hard to be a team twice in the same year". Alabama has never beaten UGA twice in the same year. I am hoping history hold sway in this one.
Oklahoma beat alabama, and i have no doubt the dawgs could whip oklahoma. Fsu beat bama, and i have no doubt the dawgs could crush fsu. Uga bama, i have serious doubts.
