Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Curtis sounds like a Lane Kiffin story by moving the date. If you gonna sign then go ahead and sign why wait
Kealan Jones just decommitted from UGA and committed to Tech.
In Kirby We Trust!!!n Go Dawgs!!
pretty sure that the media is doing all the lifting.
I'd count Calicut off that list 100% with the legal charges pending against him, including felony charges. So, I doubt he sees a college football field anytime soon, if ever, especially if he is found guilty of the charge(s). He is not enrolled in a high school this year (attending alternative school) from what I've read, and not playing football this season. So, to my understanding, and i may be wrong. By him not being enrolled in high school makes him ineligible to sign with any school per ncaa rules. And, I think i remember reading that it is a requirement by UGA, that a student athlete be enrolled in high school their senior year, before they can sign a LOI, or gain a scholarshipfrom UGA. And Seven Cloud simply can't meet the grade requirements to be admitted to UGA. He has struggled with that issue for years, hence the JUCO route he took. Yet he still struggles. Seems like he originally committed to UGA 5 or 6 years ago out of HS lol, and would've been a force for the DAWGS on the DL, but academics come 2nd to football is my only guess as to why he cant improve his grades. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong ..GoDAWGS!

If the DAWGS get Blake Stewart, the kid from Woodward Academy, he is just as good, if not a better Safety than Jones. Rated as a 3* but the rankings dont do him justice, the kid is really fast, smart, physical, and can catch for a DB lol he actually led Woodward in receiving this season.
I’ll be very disappointed if Jared Curtis doesn’t sign with UGA. Not because he’s such a great football player, but because I’ve had him pegged as a man of his word. I still believe he is a classy guy and not one to play games and waste everyone’s time in the process. Hopefully this is just the fake news delivering fake news. Go Dawgs!!!
Interesting to see the odds switch on Cloud & Calicut in the class. A month or two ago, it was Cloud as viewed with a somewhat slightly greater chance of getting in, but now word is beginning to look favorable for Calicut to indeed be a Dawg.
If so, this is huge as he is arguably a solid top 100 level talent regardless of current recruiting rankings which have suffered since the off-field issues.
Will soon find out of course, but I believe Curtis is going to sign with UGA.
Drawback will be seeing either one or two of Gunner's backups (Pugs, Monty, & Millender) likely leave via the portal.
It’s hard to get excited with signing day. I remember being excited when Eric Zeier signed with Georgia. Problem now is they sign today and transfer out next year. I understand wanting to play first year but it’s too easy to get out of a commitment by transferring out the next year.
I think with Curtis it boils down to him starting next year with Vandy and he will sit a year at least at Georgia
Curtis to Vandy? Isn't that like staying in [a very good] high school for 4 more years? Who wants to go to college in their hometown?
I agree with you, immediate playing time seems to be the only thing attractive about the Vanderbilt offer (unless the NIL offer is also better). There is so much more to consider with more value than immediate playing time, but these are 18-year-old kids who have probably never been a back-up at any level. With everyone who makes Vandy competitive this year running out of eligibility, it will be a very different team that isn't nearly as competitive for 2026 and beyond. At UGA, the development opportunity will remain at an elite level for years to come. Immediate playing time is probably not a reality at UGA, but selective playing time probably is. There is a much better chance of seeing 14 to 16 games per year at UGA than at Vandy.
Any of these players that do not want to be Georgia Bulldogs need not sign. Unless Kirby knows for sure that these low rated safties are the second coming of Bullard, then buh bye, we don't need any more legal issues in Athens.
