Georgia football injury report provides update on Drew Bobo, Talyn Taylor and Bo Walker
âHeâs been awesome since he got here,â quarterback Gunner Stockton said of Toliver. âHeâs always been working this whole season. Heâs always put in the work and against Charlotte, when he got his chance, he, he played his butt off. He always is straining and working hard for the team.â

Heard that earlier about Bo Walker but wasn't sure if it was true or not. Terrible news. Guess it could have been worse.
Drew Bobo being ruled out for the game doesn't come as a surprise. His injury may be season ending. Kirby and staff have been pretty tight lipped about it. Gonna be hard to replace that experience and instinct.
Bandage them up, tape them up, staple them up, get em ready for Bama, Let’s go dawgs! Cue the junkyard music!
A mixed bag for sure, concerns over the OL prevail.
Hate to hear that about Walker. And that injury will probably cause him to lose muscular weight to as he will only be able to drink protein drinks through a straw. Gotta roll with what we have and Still Win !! Go Dawgs !!
Chauncey Bowen back is a God send. He is a true RB baller. Talyn Taylor will provide depth at WR.
I can hear Larry Munson ..our Center is out hurt, old lady luck not smiling on the Dawgs ..the defense and special teams will have to win a low scoring game now....
I remember another Georgia running back from the 1940s that broke his jaw, but played because that’s what was expected back then. My how college football has changed. Player safety is the top concern.
Am I the only one who thinks that a completely unreported car accident that resulted in injury sounds suspicious after all the automotive related issues UGA has had?
While Drew Bobo did play a huge role in Georgia's running game the second half of the season please remember that Georgia rushed for 227 yards against Bama at 6.9 yards per carry. (This puts Cash Jones' -7 yards rushing in perspective.) Georgia lost that game because of a passing game that only produced 130 yards. Take away the 38 yard TD to Colbie Young and Stockton was 12/19 for 92 yards.
If Georgia can get the intermediate passing game going they won't have much to worry about. The TEs and London Humphreys do get open in that area of the field. But as none of them have Brock Bowers, Ladd McConkey or Darnell Washington ability, they don't get open very fast or stay open very long. Stockton doesn't have the "open all day" luxury that Stetson Bennett IV enjoyed. Stockton doesn't have the arm strength to get the ball into a tight window like Carson Beck either. Instead, Stockton is going to have to be quick and decisive with his reads. As soon as he sees a guy on an intermediate route get a ray of daylight he has to deliver the ball.
This won't merely be necessary against Bama just because Drew Bobo is playing. It is going to be necessary for a deep playoff run whether Drew Bobo plays or not. Why? Everyone is going to focus on stopping Zachariah Branch, the only UGA pass catcher who gets more than 2 receptions a game. And these are going to be playoff defenses with the coaching and talent to pull it off. If Stockton is going to need to adapt for the playoff, he might as well start now in a game that - unlike Bama - UGA doesn't need to win in order to make the playoffs.
@randomsportsfan
With your acumen, I don't believe you are "random" but rather "professional" in your sports take.
Why is this just now coming out about Bo. When is Kirby going to ban football players from being in a vehicle lol. If he broke his jaw then he wasn’t wearing a seat belt, probably bounced his face off the dash. He is blessed to not be hurt worse.
Our best offensive production came against Ole Miss when we were very aggressive and creative with the play calling. Big use of our TEs and lots of misdirection kept Ole Miss's defense guessing. Elyiss Williams is a huge capable TE target that was key in that game.
With Tolliver at Center, Gunner will need to probably be moving around and getting the ball out quickly.
I don't know if I'll be able to stomach another Bama loss. We may play them again in the playoffs and will be playing them in Tuscaloosa next season. They aren't going away. Gotta figure out how to beat them.
Expect to see lots of rollouts by Gunner with Delp having to chip at their noseguard. At the very least very quick get the ball out within 2.5 seconds. The Auburn passing game got going pretty well down field but their QB is tall and lankey and a better run threat than Gunner. Not saying a better QB.
Thinking back to the first Bama game, the OL was a mess. Aside from the Bobo injury, which is brutal, I do feel a lot better about that unit in general going into this game. Hopefully that will help make up some for Bobo being out.
