I'll give ole DP, the Sage from Snellville, credit….his prediction would be spot on if The Dawgs were still under the guidance of the coach he played for….BUT NOT SO FAST, We're now in The Kirby Era and NEXT MAN UP has real meaning. Remember when SVP left…..Oh how in the world would Jared Wilson ever meet that standard….then he left and in all honesty, I never thought Bobo could never come close….this is where the Kirby Next Man Up mantra is realized and Malachi will fill the void along with help from the entire TEAM…..Keep in mind that The Snellville Sage makes BIG BUCKS being a Dawg BooBird.?

David Pollack will always occupy a top seat in the pantheon of DAWG GREATS….football prognostication…not so much.

David only knows one thing -playing the Devil’s Advocate. Remember his pick preseason for National Champs? Clemson lol. And in preseason, he also said, I look at this UGA team, and I wonder, “where are ‘The Guys?’ UGA has no Guys.’”

Anybody who thinks DP is not 100% Dawg has to only look at his statement while sitting next to Nick Saban after the 2022 championship game that "UGA has taken over college football". It certainly didn't help his cause in retaining his ESPN position. For those of us who remember well, he is of the Munson/Dooley "glass is half empty" school. In no way does he want to be proven right in his prognostication.

I honestly believe the extra day to prepare will be the advantage for the Dawgs to squeak one out.

Can't give back the momentum once you've gained it. Take the 3 points when presented. Of give the ball to Chauncey , not the guy who rarely runs the ball!

If Georgia is going to run successfully today will need a much better effort from the Center position. Looks like everyone has a man, with E.J. Lightsey ( Linebacker who transferred from Georgia ) the only unaccounted for defender. Toliver isn't looking for Lightsey at first and by the time he notices him it's too late. With a decent block on the LB there was a running lane and possibly a lot of green real estate ahead.

Something just jumped out at me, watching the picks on College Gameday.. With the very tare exception of Desmond Howard....the Homer's picked their teams.

Saban....picked Bama after making a solid case for Georgia. Hmm....is that why they fired Pollack's little hind end? Did they fire him, cause, he "wouldn't" Homer-up to his Dawgs.

Did that actually hire him, to be the designated UGA Homer. Like Herbstreit with OSU and Howard with Michigan. And, he couldn't or wouldn't do it?

When he stated that Kirby & the Dawgs "had taken over CFB". It was too little, too late. And, Saban told em he'd be available soon to be the designated SEC Homer. Lol

Nope....I'm beginning to think....they're gonna open the game up early, like never before. Passing the ball all over the place on the first couple of drives.

That'll take the pressure off of the Offensive Line and open up the running game running game.

Imo....it would open up the ground game. If they do that....this will be a blowout. If they don't, it'll be a grind.

Either way, the Dawgs WIN. 45 - 13.....Or, 24 -10. Depending on which UGA Team plays. Lol

    No excuses...best Bama

Bust upside the head with some misdirection and the screen game. They gonna be teeing off on our poor O-Line. Then drag em into the water. I got some flotation devices.

The injury is gonna force Georgia to play this game like it’s Ole Miss or Texas. Kirby likes to beat teams at their own game. Look at how we played Ole Miss, Texas, Miss State, and GaTech. How many times did Gunner run it against tech. We always try to line up against bama and out Bama, Bama. Like prime Nick Saban beat teams.

While y’all are watching Texas Tech today and TAMU in a few weeks just think in a couple of years both teams will have 5-7 starters on defense from the state of GA. While we have to listen about how good they are at football. They are raiding the state. The big ten will shut it down and cap off freshmen contracts like the NFL did to rookies but it take about 3 years for the northerners to realize what’s going on.

    @navydawg

Fyi....my Nephew just informed me, that Bama has fallen to "The Drake Curse". Lol.…I never heard of it....but, he said, it's reliable.

Apparently....there's some guy online named "Drake"....that is a "Bad Luck Schleprock" to any team he "bandwagons".

He showed up online...according to my source (Lol)....decked out in Alabama gear.

    Lol..."Turn out the lights...the party's over...".

    UGA.....45. Bama....13.

Btw....sorry to hear about your HS Team. Sounds like they had a helluva year....despite the loss. I wouldn't hang my head, over a score that close.

@BigDawg61 "....they're gonna open the game up early, like never before. Passing the ball all over the place on the first couple of drives. That'll take the pressure off of the Offensive Line and open up the running game running game."

That's a possibility. The passing game kinda fizzled like the run game that second half vs Tech. Hopefully we'll see the real Gunner today. Last week he seemed "gun shy" or hesitant with his throws. On the 3rd offensive play he had Delp on an out route roughly 15 to 20 yards. Stockton looked that way, held the ball, then checked down to Frazier for a simple gain. Gotta get chunks down field and get away from the short passes behind the line.

  • BigDawg61BigDawg61 Posts: 3,424 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

Yeah, he "seemed to be" a little hesitant....or, maybe held the ball a little longer than usual. But, I think that may have had more to do with gameplan vs injury at center, than Stockton. I don't think they were prepared to have yo create space with the pass.

Toliver, either had a bad game...or he's incompetent. I lean toward...Toliver wasn't as prepared as he should've been...with Bobo's health in question. That's on, both Coach Searels and Toliver...imo.

The good news is....Kirby Smart is HC...and, he saw the same film. You can bet, that will be fixed or mitigated….by gameplan. Which I why I lean toward pass. Pass blocking was just easier to me. So,...I'd go with what he knows, till he gains a little experience & confidence.

Don't believe this "Kryptonite" nonsense. The Dawgs have been beat by the Refs, more than the Tide. Lol.…they're good enough, now....to outplay any attempts by the Refs to slow em down.

Kirby is about to unleash, The Hounds of Hell on Alabama. May God have mercy on their souls. Lol

    Dawgs....45

    Tide....…..13
