I haven’t seen every SEC teams’ schedules yet so how many teams have the week off before they play us other than fla?

Can't say I'm a fan of the expanded conference schedule. Now a full 75% of our games will be played against the same pool of 15 teams. Every. Single. Year. And it only incentivizes the use of cupcake/payday games to fill the gaps. So the only meaningful games that any SEC team will play going forward will be against other SEC teams.

B1G is using the same model. So we're setting up for a Schrödinger's cat of a season every year, where the SEC and B1G only play themselves throughout the entire season until the playoffs force them to branch out and we finally see what's what.

Got us going right back to Tuscaloosa. I wonder if the plan is to flip the schedule for 2027 like they did for 24/25. Or if this is just another bone being thrown to a program Georgia doesn't like at Georgia's expense.

What happened to playing LSU & A&M? Instead we are playing Bama and Ole Miss again. The whole point of the new SEC scheduling was you were supposed to play every school home and away within 4 years.

Other than Georgia and fla having the same open date, it looks like auburn is the only team with an open date before playing Georgia.

I hate Sankey. I don’t get it. Still no TAM and year three with Alabama? The biggest thing I don’t like about the new schedule and playoff is we have to play certain teams two and potentially three times in the same season. I think this 9 game conference schedule is going to hurt the conference in many ways.

We’re going to physically beat each other up while the Big Ten plays the cupcakes in their conference and, we likely will lose network viewership as non-SEC fans get tired of seeing the same two teams playing multiple times a season. Such games are harder to win when your conference opponent knows you better.

In addition, the ranking of teams in the CFP is so messed up—we will be judged by wins and losses, not SOS. Rankings during the season matter—and that is done on wins and losses (and politically) far too much. If we beat each other up—our rankings will be lower and our SOS will go down as teams in Conference rack up more losses.

Sankey is my scapegoat for this disaster. If I could fire the AD’s and Presidents that approved it all—I would.

had never thought about what Kirby said after the seccg. What’s the ranking Gunna look like when we as a conference carry 8 more losses into the cfp selection weekend?

Also, this is going to cheapen the co ference championship game. Rough yall. I personally don’t see this format lasting longer tha. 2-3 years

No Tennessee. We have to play someone from halfway across the country, but not our next door neighbor. Everyone has lost their minds.

E_Roc, JayDog I'm with you….why the hell are The Dawgs not playing TAM & LSU instead of Bama & Ole Miss AGAIN….you'd think that Sankey would "throw The Dawgs……the TEAM that earns the SEC more $ every year than any other team…A Bone and assign on a more equitable basis….given this years records, a match between TAM & The Dawgs at Sanford October 10 would be a monumental TV revenue draw…..The Dawgs traveling to Tiger Land November 7 would equally be a desired view…as I see LSU bouncing back from 2025 coaching debacles faster than the Ole Miss????

Sankey is not a moron, so I have to think there is another underlying factor????

You guys don't realize they had put out a schedule of our opponents this past summer but all they did was release the dates we would be playing them. We knew a long time ago who we would be playing next year and the years following, so no need to rent our garments about playing Bama again and not playing AM.

@GtheGreek and @E_Roc....2027 schedule looks quite different and brings in those other teams we haven't played in a while...

    2027 Opponents:

    • 09/04 – at Florida State
    • 10/30 – Florida* (in Tampa)
    • 11/27 – at Georgia Tech
    • TBA – LSU*
    • TBA – Mississippi State*
    • TBA – South Carolina*
    • TBA – Tennessee*
    • TBA – at Auburn*
    • TBA – at Kentucky*
    • TBA – at Texas A&M*
    • TBA – at Texas*

My bet is Florida State gets canceled. But we'd still need a couple more games against patsies to fill in the schedule. And we Finally play at Kyle Field!

Looking forward to next year's beatdown of our former nemesis Alabama…. The Bammers have permanently lost their mojo against us. Their kryptonite has decayed to the level it no longer radiates any bad juju toward the Dawgnation!
