Let the team vote - if yes, play him but run the **** out of him. Stadium steps, sprints, stop & go’s,..bear crawls, crab crawls, **** rolls, etc.
If they say no, he can still do the punishment drills, remain with the team but sit next game out.
if he hangs around, between the embarrassment & punishment drills - I’d say that’s enough.
No good reason to kick either off the team…if all is true, get the facts.
Indeed, with the right legal representation, this will all be settled with restitution/fine and probation….my concern is how did the TEAM culture, upperclassmen leadership and coaching fail to overcome obvious immaturity and stupidity? Only Kirby & company can access these two as far as their potential going forward….but at this point Bo & Glover have a truck load of work ahead of them……will they be DAWG enough to overcome and succeed……guess we'll see come Jan 2, 2026.
Smart won’t let it slide, nor should he. They have to sit one game, as per normal process for the team.
Really not a wise thing to do, regardless of the dollar amount. If you let it slide (which Smart will not) you set a terrible precedent.
They clearly are not math majors. Losing your freedom, soiling your name, and losing potential NIL money over shoplifting? Stupidity.

NIL means that they should have had enough money to pay for most things they could want. I want to know the "facts" and the details. If things are as alleged, then they did this for the "thrill". Much better ways are available to get a thrill. And the merchandise is certainly less costly than the attorney fees will be. In addition to the legal and team punishments, I hope their parents get to give them some memorable discipline. I truly hope that this isn't true and some kind of misunderstanding, so I am waiting for the "evidence" to make a final decision. I trust that UGA will deal with this so the punishment fits the "crime" once all the facts are known. I hope the lesson that they get from this will stick with them, but not destroy their potential futures.

I did plenty of dumb things during my time at UGA. Not condoning what these kids did, but it will pass. They'll pay for it if Kirby has anything to say about it. Remember Kirby's reaction during the game to that unnecessary unsportsmanlike call on #15? Now imagine what Kirby's gonna make these guys do to make amends? Team leadership needs to come down hard on these two. Now this puts even more pressure on Earnest Green — that poor guy has been through enough over the last few months. Selfish act.

That was my first thought. I didn't have that problem in my day. I bought a keg at Bubbers when I was 16. Showed him my trout stamp and fishing license. Good to go. Anyone out there remember Bubbers or Baxter Beverage? Fun times!
Hey not proud of what they did but as a retired LEO who has dealt with college students/athletes before…everyone makes mistakes. As Jesus said, let him without sin cast the first stone. Dont know the full story but kicking them off the team or suspending them isn’t the thing to do. Yes there should be repercussions and KS hopefully will hand it in the right way.
@Eastmandawg @zonadawg61 I agree with Both of Yall. I like Eastman’s idea of Team vote as the acts of these players embarrassed the team and school. And I agree with zonadawg. I to did things in my youth I’m ashamed of. But these guys have Far more in terms of future than I had. There’s Never a “good” time to pull stunts like this but right before the playoffs ?
Not allowed now days course it wasn’t really allowed in my day, but in the military they’d have got a blanket party !! And it’s sure not the kind of party you want to attend. If they are found guilty then this was just plain idiotic and extremely selfish. Now Kirby will have to push some other player beyond the limits to have a backup for Earnest Green. And zonadawg is exactly right Earnest has already been through and Still is tons of stress about his Dad and his own injuries he’s dealt with. Prepare for heavy trolling from opposing fanbases !!
Best to wait till all the facts come out. No reason to assume the worst of these two. Hopefully this can be resolved with reduced or dismissed charges.
