Ausie, Ausie, Ausie….oy, oy, oy!
Such a weapon he has been! Will never forget his 75 yard kick against Tennerssee downed on the one yard line … completely changing the course of that game!
Congratulations to a DGD!!!!
To brag in Aussie slang, you might say you're "stoked" or "Good on ya!" Either way tremendous punter.
Good on you mate
What a unique and clever individual. A clear example that football is a team sport.
Congrats young man!
Should be his 4th not his first. He’s been the best punter in the nation since he stepped on campus.
Go Dawgs!
Congrats Brett you certainly deserve it !! Your a DGD for sure !!
He is second team all-SEC punter, but wins Ray Guy award. Why not first team SEC?
1st team all American and Ray Guy award for nations best punter YET 2nd team SEC. Makes perfect sense.
Congrats Mate. On a side note we punted seven times vs Bama, the average distance of our four touchdowns drives was 33 yards. Either one or both of two things must be true, Bama is really good on defense or our offense is not where it needs to be just yet, Go Dawgs.
The "Thunder from down under" finally gets his due! Well deserved!
Congratulations to Brett, well deserved award!
Congrats to Thorson. I am shocked it took this long for him to win the award. Dude has been a weapon. since stepping onto campus.
Across all his years and punts, I recall only one bad one… the rest were beauties. Go Dawgs!
Mr. Thorson—Congratulations on an honor well deserved and very late in coming! A pleasure watching you perform all these years.
awesome. I met Ray Guy at the Georgia/Southern Miss game back in 1989 or 90. A gentleman sitting next to me ask if I wanted to meet him. He signed my program that had UGA V on the cover since it was his first year. Brett Farve was the QB for S.Miss. This was the Ray Goff era. Georgia won when Southern missed a last second FG.
