“He banged his shoulder up,” Ole Miss coach Pete Golding said. “Obviously he came back into the game and fought through that, so we’ll address that from here going forward.

    Pretty interesting that Oregon is a favorite over the high-flying Texas Tech offense after allowing 34 points to a JMU team that many thought should not have been in the playoffs…..

    Ducks led 48-13 and pulled a lot of starters late in the 3rd after Vegas called Lannister g and reminded him his wife had placed a mil on JMU plus the points…

    That 2-pt attempt on the first TD tells you how seriously Oregon took JMU. It was a scrimmage. Lanning spent a half probably playing guys 2 or 3 deep to recruit them to stay on the team.

    My biggest concern going into our game is losing our hunger, edge, focus, and being rusty after almost 4 weeks off….seems like an eternity. The teams that did the best last season were the ones that didn't have the BYE.

    If Lacy plays UGA with a bruised shoulder, it will quickly become a dislocated shoulder or worse. That said, the Dawgs need to take Old Missed very very seriously and need to be practicing as hard as they have the entire season over the holidays. Just ask Jordan Davis. if they don't, they will be watching the semifinals and championship game from mommie's family room or at a sports bar.

    @MontanaDawg

    Last year the bye was followed by another BYE.

    Though that’s certainly a legitimate concern. I’m trusting Kirby will have them ready. One of the key points he can use is the sorrow and pain of losing to ND in the first round last year. They might be a bit rusty first series of plays on both sides of the ball. Which I Know is enough to give Ole Miss a lead. But they got a lead last time. It’ll be short lived. I believe Ole Miss is essentially the same Ole Miss the Dawgs played before. Where as the Dawgs have significantly improved on Defense and some what on Offense. I don’t think it’ll be an Easy game but I think the Dawgs win in the end by 10 points. Go Dawgs !!

    Yep. the warm fuzzy magnets of home are powerful. Rat poison. If the Dawgs succumb to the warm fuzzy magnets, it's over for them in the CFP. Yesterday's game was a great scrimmage for Old Missed to tune up their machine for the Sugar Bowl in 10 days while UGA will have been off for a month since their last game.

    Bet your life savings on Oregon. You will be a rich man at 1.5 points…

    The winner of the Georgia-Ole Miss Sugar Bowl will play in the Fiesta Bowl against the winner of the Dec. 31 Cotton Bowl game between Ohio State in Arlington, Texas.

    So I’m guessing Ohio State is play against itself? Somebody doesn’t proofread their articles lol

    Never understand why the CFP waits so long to play a game. I know it’s a New Year Eve game but that should not be the case
