- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

“Despite constant double teams and numerous holds that never drew a whistle,..””
Quick question Jeff, what do you call a hold that isn’t called?
A: a good block, just saying
Kirby needs to find someone with money like TT and Ohio State. Recruiting 3 stars is cute, but this will eventually catch with us in the long haul. He has "only" a #6 ranked class this year, but he always been #1 or #2. Can't believe all the avenues for money we raised for all the nice additions to Butts-Mehre has dried up.
NIL money again lures a top prospect away. With college football becoming NFL Light, fans will be tuning out completely in the next few years. I'm already reaching for the door.
Jeff, you do fantastic work in all that you do for Dawgnation, but please do not give headlines to UGA targets that commit elsewhere, particularly this early in the process. If they are worried about their “brand”, tell them Dawgnation isn’t buying unless they Commit to the G.
I watched it live. I'll say this, his Dad didn't look happy.
This is embarrassing for his whole family. Someone has got to put a stop to these southern boys going up north to play for the buttguys. Every single player from Justin Fields to Caleb Downs to the receiver they have from FL is an embarrassment to the sport. The whole SEC needs to start dogging Ohio State and everyone considering them.
"While it isn’t final, there isn’t a lot of hope for the home state Dawgs to close the gap here."
Care to explain, Jeff?
It's early, let him commit, but I don't actually think he will flip to UGA, (JMO). If a freshman isn't an instant impact first year starter, let those schools spend their money, then if the player doesn't pan out, gets injured, doesn't develop, or enters the portal, then it's a bad investment. The entire problem with all of this is that schools like OSU, TT, Miami, and now Indiana, is that they don't really care because they have almost unlimited funds. I agree that it will be hard for UGA to compete, long term, in this environment even though we have the best coach in the country. If Kirby and UGA compete on a "financial" level playing field with these other "paycheck" schools, UGA will win multiple national championships, it won't even be close.
Georgia needs to beat ole miss, then hammer the buck nuts to hopefully change his mind. Why does he want to play for Grecian Formula?
As a dad, sometimes you gotta let and watch your kids not think it completely through… part of becoming a man and developing wisdom. Go Dawgs!
Sure hope we get to play Ohio State (or the rest of the field, for that matter) in the CFP playoffs… whup 'em to show 'em you can with 30% less budget and 25% more heart and soul. Go Dawgs!
CFB needs the BIG10 and SEC to merge. Then cherry pick another 10-20 (?) teams and form NFL Jr. Have the same rules and the same SALARY CAP for everyone. That should level the playing field and make recruiting more about relationships and development again. It is coming. It has to. CFB can't go on like this new NIL and free agency model.
All about the Benjamins baby!!!. I love Kirby's approach. Not paying someone that hasn't played a down in the SEC that type of money. Come in... play and earn your money. But as we all know this approach won't last forever. It will catch up with us if the landscape doesn't change first.
If we get the chance, we need to put Ohio st in the dirt. Can't keep letting these NIL schools get away with this much longer. If Kirby isn't willing to spend the money (which I personally agree with him), he **** sure better keep winning championships. Or the dynasty talks will slowly but surely begin to fade away. Along with top recruiting classes.
GO DAWGS 🔴🐾⚫️ SIC'M!
