Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Nothing at all against Aguero, hope he does well. But I'm so tired of this - players that have been with us, helped us, and been developed by Kirby, etc. just leave.
The state of college football, along with the insanity of our offensive staff doing the same over and over& over when it's not working - enough, WILL drive me away. Same thing happened with NBA, NFL, MLB, & very recently college BB. In every case, I had the same feeling that it's no longer enjoyable and over time stopped watching nearly all of the above - at all. Used to do anything in my power to attend Braves games, now - barely watch a full inning of Braves, etc. on TV. Haven't been in person since they left Fulton City Stadium.
Nature of the beast. Until the NCAA changes the rules it will only get worse. No loyalty, no commitment!
Barnes seems like he'll be a fine replacement…
This one doesn't surprise me. This isn't on the coaching staff.
not great news.
Looking forward to who we bring in. Would love to get some great news on the LOS.
Not sure why Aguero is leaving other than denaros…this is a cutthroat college football world we live in now…get used to it. Better matchups, more parity, and the loss of SEC dominance comes at a price…literally.
Will definitely love to find out the answer to this question after the portal closes in about a week…How many transfers are we striking out on?? Like I said before, my bet is it's many more than we realize.
Now you know where the incoming ex-Clemson Safety is going to play… Aguero seemed to stay injured a lot as well…
the new cfb structure misses the point of what made cfb wonderful. it's over.
IMO he was more overrated than productive. Felt like he was always hurt with something nagging or when he did play, didn’t produce as I would’ve liked hope ( but what do I know). He never had the impact like other guys. Hopefully he’ll find a place that will fit his skill set.
these dolts running cfb don't know their fanbase. cfb fans love dynasties, the chance to play them and knock them off. cfb says, nope, you're going to live with weeb eubanks nfl parity. have fun. it's not fun. Fall Saturdays have devolved from must see to who cares. pitiful.
The Joenel conundrum….stay a Dawg and be forced to earn your starts against some very talented freshmen….same if he is fortunate to snag a top tier offer, he'll have to beat out competition and demonstrate field production to keep a starting position….duck down to a lesser program/cupcake and he'll post some stats and maybe get an lower round NFL oppo….no matter, he'll aways be known as DAWG watanabe that couldn't cut it…….Stay a DAWG Joenel, beat the competition, up your game and you're almost guaranteed an NFL oppo based on pedigree!
Most who leave don't see themselves as future starters and hope to get more playing time somewhere else. I'm OK with that. No great loss. Maybe they'll get lucky and excel elsewhere, maybe not.
I beg to differ, Conner. Losing Aguero is not a "significant loss" at all. Of all the UGA starting defensive backs at the beginning of the year, I always thought that he was the weakest link. If anyone has the time and ability, just go back and watch the games that he played in. He was often late to a play or out of position and when he did arrive, he often missed the tackle. He also had some late hits (many of which were not called) and just generally was not strong on the ball. There's a reason why Kirby heaped so much praise on Resean Dinkins, Aguero's replacement. I think if Dinkins hadn't been a freshman, he would have taken Aguero's starting job outright. I had really high hopes and expectations from him when he signed, but they just never panned out. I wish Aguero well but I seriously doubt UGA will miss him. Go Dawgs!
Of all the players at Star the past 5 or 6 years, his name has been called the least. He just hasn't produced up to the standards Kirby has had at that position. Sorry to see anyone leave, but it makes sense.
Not really a big loss. He came in under lots of fan fair, but I don't feel he even came close to that hype.
