I don’t like judging anyone about anything. But this doesn’t sound good at all. I know he’s only 17 but driving for your buddy while he pops off rounds at another car. Sad that the other youngster ended up dead in a gun fight later. But we All have choices and decisions in life. He chose wrong.
The last thing in the world Dawgs need is a toxic player in the locker room. And the article specified the charges were dropped For Now. But could be reopened pending further investigation. Don’t know if he could stay focused with that shadow hanging over his head. Anyway it’s on Kirby’s table not mine.
I live in Houston, when Quanell X gets involved in your case, it aint good. Community activist is a stretch. He only gets involved if it benefits him in some way. This was all over the news here in Houston. Phillips, who shot the gun, was later killed at a “summer school” party. Calicut knew Phillips had a gun and called one of the people Phillips was shooting at to ask her not to report him. Seems Calicut had been threatening the classmate they shot at. And the Phillips murder and the shooting that involves Calicut are connected. Sorry, this dude doesn't need to be a Dawg. Get your second chances in junior college.

Thanks for that info. Well he doesn’t sound like Dawgs material. Kind of surprised Kirby and company hasn’t pulled the offer. Might have and just haven’t made it public. Young feller better get it together and mature fast or he could end up in deep trouble. Law enforcement still investigating the case certainly isn’t a positive for him.

This has "minefield" written all over it. The risk/reward is leaning too heavily towards risk… We don't need another Akhil Crumpton situation here in Athens, we get enough bad press from traffic tickets and shoplifting… I say pass and let him go to "Last Chance U" and see if he can keep his nose clean. Then and only then should UGA take a chance.
