If they can lock up this Richardson kid and teach Stockton to see the field, (mostly just the open receivers out there waving their hands at him), the Dawgs might get past the first round. A lot has to happen for this roster to win a natty. Hey Kirby, you may not think so, but the pressure is on. You.

Well to be honest until CKS mostly squelched some very reckless habits, it was hard to trust SBIV for a few years. Even until the end i held my breath every time he dropped back.

Interesting fact. So far, even Dabo has taken more transfers than CKS.

With Bobo at UGA, and KS unwilling to do anything different, I don't feel good about our team. I'm sure I'll get jumped on, but I'm not the only one. Miami won, Carson was proved right, and we keep doing the same things.

With Southern Cal having such a good recruiting year a lot of good players see the writing on the wall. They have a couple guys I think we should try to get. A OL and a DL.

All I know is Kirby needs to figure out this transfer portal and NIL system so that it best works to try and get back to Championship football. The SEC is not in the Championship game for the 3rd year in a row. Crazy. The landscape has changed and the SEC no longer dominates.

The SEC slogan " It just means more" really should be " It just means more money "…because that's what it's going to take to stay in the top tier of teams.

As Seth Emerson writes this morning...

" That’s not to say SEC programs weren’t spending too; they were, which was part of the problem. SEC teams were picking off each other, whether it was top teams like Texas poaching Georgia and Alabama players or teams in the middle like Missouri. The SEC has been eating itself.

At the high school level, the SEC has still dominated recruiting:

▪︎ Last year, SEC teams signed 55 of the top 100 players, per the 247Sports Composite, including a remarkable 16 of the top 25.

    • This year, it was only nine of the top 25, but still 53 of the top 100.

But while in the past it was the Georgias, Alabamas and LSUs signing most of those elite players, it’s now much more widely dispersed:

    • Last year, 11 different SEC teams signed at least one top 100 player, and seven signed at least one top 25 player.

    • This year, 13 different SEC teams signed at least one top 100 player, and five different teams signed at least one top 25 player. Vanderbilt, of all teams, swooped in and flipped the top-ranked recruit, quarterback Jared Curtis, from Georgia. "

The B1G is now spending more money than the SEC, and honestly, may have more overall at their disposal than the SEC.

I do agree we need an elite, expensive qb before wr,s come to uga. Spot on with our OL issues.

Wonder what Gunner Stockton and his mentor Mike Bobo were thinking last night while they watched from their living room recliners as Carson Beck led his team to the CFP championship game. Makes me nauseous…

UGA practices help build Beck. Don't make it should like Beck is some genius that fleeced Kirby and everyone else.

@railroadtrack1 when has UGA been put out of the College Football Playoffs in the first round?

Yes, it was weird to see Carson Beck last night heading to the Championship game. But, he didn't light the field on fire last night. He made plenty of poor throws. Miami's penalties almost cost them the game. Bains and Misador were silent, but the Miami pass rush still disrupted Chambliss.

Each team in the playoffs that have made it this far have a great defense and key playmakers on offense - whether that be the QB or someone like Toney or Fletcher. Toney is a stud.

@NorthHallDawg I don't disagree with how you have assessed the overall needs for the 2026 team, but I am especially in agreement with your assessment of the Offensive Line situation. I believe that if the OL was able to perform at an elite level, it would make the biggest difference for the team. I watched last night as the Miami OL had a solid performance, there was a noticeable difference from how the UGA OL performed against Ole Miss just a week ago. That's just my observation, but it appears to line up with what you expressed in your original comment.

Food for thought: 5 of the top 10 rated teams by stars on their roster at the beginning of the season this year made the playoffs. Only 1 team out of those top 10 teams tated by 247 sports made the final 4-Oregon. Only 1 out of the top 20 rated teams by stars has made the final NC game as of this writing., If Oregeon wins tonight that would make it 1 team out of the top 10 and 1 team(Miami) out of the top 15.

If Indiana wins tonight that would mean only 1 team out of the top rated 15 teams made the NC game! Indiana was rated 72nd in talent by stars when signed out of HS. UGA was rated #1 this year! We are usually in the top 3 in talent evey year and yet we have not advanced either to or past the 1st round in the past 3 years.

If Indiana does go on to win the NC game(or even if they don't) what does that say about how to build a team in 2025 and the coaching job they have done this season? Alabama was 2nd behind UGA in talent rating by247sports. THey were crushed by the 72nd ranked talent team. Ole Miss was rated #21 in talent.
