Fun read and very informative Jeff. Hopefully that player connection bodes well for overall team cohesion and bonding. It should.

On another note…Damon Wilson back in the portal….gotta chuckle at that one…

I am afraid we are watching the downward spiral of UGA Football once again. The head coach is only concerned with adding defensive players, but the defense is not like the ones that won a title here. I am just going to leave this here, if your offense is on the four yard line first and goal and you can't score a TD against Ole Piss, then you are declining ina big way.

What leads you to conclude the Kirby is only concerned about adding defensive players?

    Go, Dawgs!

Jim, I was surprised we picked up the Oklahoma corner. We have little production with wide receivers, and our O line couldn't protect against Ole Miss. Our QB can't get to the second read before he runs. I think railroad has a point. Yet, all we here is defensive players coming to UGA, except a runningback from Kentucky…

All well and good but the last few days the portal is open we desperately need to add two proven offensive lineman from a "big boy" conference, not the AAC, Sun Belt or the Mountain West. They need to come from the SEC, ACC or the Big 10… Not that Searels can coach them up… But…

@NorthHallDawg...5-star OT Seaton entered the portal Monday night. He was a five-star prospect and the No. 17 player in the country when he signed with Colorado during the 2024 recruiting cycle, and he’s played up to that recruiting ranking. Seaton earned the left tackle job as a true freshman and has started 22 games over the past two seasons. He was named second-team All-Big 12 this past season, is one of the best offensive tackles in the country and is still on an upward trajectory.

I just read this morning that Miami offered Ty Simpson $6.5 M for next season, but Simpson declined. He is hitting the draft.

    Huh??

The defense was a major, major factor in UGA's back to back National Titles.

I don't doubt that kirby can get the defense back playing championship football, but I do not have confidence , today, that Bobo can come up with a championship offense. maybe they can sign Seaton, and that will take care of the LT spot, get Bobo the center back, and hopefully retain a healthy Greene. That leaves Bobo the OC to get Gunner to his "ceiling" and replace nearly all of the productive receivers from 2025. UGA ran the ball a little better in 2025, but not nearly as well as the two championship teams. Work still to be done there as well. Actually, the playoff field may not be as strong in 2026 after Indy loses all of those upperclassmen, Miami won't be as good, ect. Dawgs are sitting pretty good if they can make the necessary improvements.

Keep recruiting these kids. It always helps when you have a player on the roster from that high school in recruiting.
