”“I’ve never been more excited about a bye week,” White said. “We’ve had our chances, we lost a couple of really close (games), but our guys are resilient.”

I am confused about this statement, is he implying that IF we won those two games we would be 6-3 in the conference? if we are going to play this silly IF game, does he realize that IF he had lost the 3 really close SEC games we won (SC, Au, MIZ) this year we could also be a disastrous 1-8? See how IF works, it has no place in a head ball coach’s mindset, or it shouldn’t. Here’s the bottom line, we have improved 1 game over the team we had at the same stage last year and we are exactly in the same 4-5 position as the year before. IF you coach better, how about that angle, coach? Other than that I will simply say good luck team, pull it together and take it home…go dawgs

Just like any other sport, to be the man you've got to beat the man. UGA basketball rarely beats "the man."

I’ll dip into the Junkyard Mail next time at the Junkyard Blawg, and I’d like to hear what your expectations are for the football Dawgs this coming season and any concerns you might have. And what about the basketball Dawgs, do you see them making the NCAA Tournament? Also, feel free to ask questions — or share your views on anything related to UGA athletics. You can email me at junkyardblawg@gmail .com.
