Georgia tight end Elyiss Williams eager to step up after encouraging debut season
Oscar Delp was long an important piece for the Georgia offense. As both a pass catcher and a blocker, the talented tight end did it all for the Bulldogs during his time in Athens.

The Dawgs have 4 TE's that would all be starters on any other team….I'd love to see them all in maybe a 14 personnel scheme with Elyiss as the decoy sideline receiver, Lucky, Reddell, and Barbour giving a run look but Luckie being the target.
Williams and the entire TE room has been majorly underutilized. At 6'7". Williams is an easy passing target in the likes of Washington years ago. This lack of TE use has been the most frustrating part of the last 2 years of our sputtering, inconsistent offensive game. Case in point: our best offensive game in the 2025 season (Ole Miss - 510 yards) included (9) completions to TEs.
Georgia beats Texas in basketball, but no headline, not even a mention. Fail.
nor the notable KY win in Lexington this week, guess he's bizzy. "wash, rinse & repeat"….it's easier.
Don't sleep on Kaiden Prothro. Maybe a true freshman, but the guy has skills.
With tight end Lawson Luckie scoring three touchdowns.
if Bobo will use him like Todd did with Bowers it should be an interesting season.
He could even be split out as a WR with his skill set, he is a match up problem for defenses, no matter where he's lined up.
Williams will be another UGA TE in the NFL, when that time comes..GoDAWGS!
Ethan Barbour was the freshman TE getting the most PT last season before he got injured, obviously the coaching staff sees something in him. Hopefully, he’s ready to play next fall.
He’s definitely talented. Barbour may be even better. Luckie is a proven commodity. The question is will we continue to under utilize the TEs? Need to use these guys more in the passing game.
Elyiss is going to be a difference maker this season. Sure hope Bobo dials up some of those Darnell Washington sets.
Of topic, I’m guessing DN got rid of MG and CR doesn’t do basketball. Pups finally look like a team playing together and I am hopeful to try some Tony Chacheres on crow soon. Two big wins and not a single basketball mention. Sad
Was the failure of UGA to consistently effectively utilize the TE position in '25 MAINLY on the OC play calling and game plan, on the QB's inability to consistently find the TE and utilize the middle of the field or due to the inconsistency of Delp?
IF EWilliams can consistently catch the ball he should be an upgrade over Delp.
