Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Spring Training
Interested in what's going on in spring training? Talk about basics? They are trying to learn what a ball and/or strike is.

Good to know, many seem to have a problem with aspect of the game
Follow college more than pros unless the Braves are playing good ball. Friend of mine has a son who pitched at Ole Miss and got drafted real late by Boston down in Fla. for past 3 weeks, may follow that some……
Odds are the Braves will bounce back this year and make a run at the NL East. Still a really talented roster a year removed from a season where if anything could go wrong it did. Yaz off to a good start. Homered first AB as a Brave.
Dodgers of course will be big favorites to win the NL.
Waiting to see how the new Braves TV deal shakes out, would be nice to watch some games live without breaking the bank.
Chris Sales re-upped for a new one year deal with a club option for the 2027 season!
Sweet!
Yeah. They are calling it BravesVision. Not a lot of details yet.
Ill be a buyer if like you say it isn't something absurd.
Maybe paying off, Braves challenged 3 called strikes in 1st inning and all 3 were overturned.
Braves 6 for 6 challenging now.
My first thought is, if ABS already knows the answer, why are we messing around with a middle man? Why not just let ABS give us the answer right away every time?
I know they want to keep the game moving but you cant convince me they couldn't just let ABS do it immediately.
I'll admit I dont know the rules yet either. How many challeneges do you get a game? Do you only lose one if you are wrong? That is even worse because now things wont get challenged that are obviously wrong just because it isn't deemed an important enough situation.
You know that you are an old man watching exhibition baseball on a weekday afternoon. A little to windy today to go fishing, oh well next week.
I'm not positive but I think you get 2 challenges per game. What I don't know is if a successful challenge does or doesn't count against the 2 per game. If the Braves got 3 I guess that means that a successful challenge doesn't count against the two.
After reading the box score and article, it seems the Braves had 4 successful challenges. Matt Olson had one on a Paul Skene's pitch that the ABS said missed by 1/10 of an inch. Good eyes, Matty O.
Sounds very nice. I hope I make it to that milestone.
I saw an article on them today that stated challenges are kept if the call is overturned on appeal and lost if the call is upheld. Used wisely, this could be a game changer deep into a tight contest.
