Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Blind support is what enables this bad behavior. Tone deaf comment.
THANK YOU So much for your service !! I hope you’re enjoying your retirement years. Im sure you’ve seen some absolutely nightmarish things in your time as a State Trooper. A Very demanding and under appreciated service.
I wish I could be able to say I didn’t pull s t u p i d stunts like this but unfortunately I did. THANK GOD no one was injured by my very selfish and utterly s t u p i d Choices !! I Was raised better so it was all MY fault No fault on my parents. My Son who is a Much better man than me in All areas of life has made much wiser choices. Credit his Mother, though I Hope I influenced him in positive ways some.
Having been a Corrections Officer for nearly 12 yrs. before by the Grace Of God I went on to be a Veterans Benefits Counselor then Office Manager for 15 years then retired from the State. I saw Plenty of cases of utter S t u p i d i t y while in Corrections and I always Thank God that I wasn’t on the other side of the bars for MY previous Idiotic choices !!
The Good News is I think Most young men make the wise choices. It’s just those that don’t are sensationalized by their Bad choices. Many times which end up with someone killed or severely injured. I’m SO Thankful that my Idiotic choices in my Much younger years didn’t get someone killed or severely injured. It’d be mighty hard to live with that on my conscience !!
State Troopers as with other law enforcement get allot of bad rap for Doing Their Job. But just Know that I and thousands of other Georgians are Very Thankful for your Honorable and Dedicated Service. Our Law Enforcement need our constant prayers as their jobs are as dangerous as ever and seem to be getting worse each day that goes by !!
I'm certainly not excusing this unacceptable and dangerous behavior. But do we really believe that players at other schools don't do this too?
Imagine this, CKS and staff preaching to these guys about the seriousness of this behavior(seems like I remember a precious life being lost to this same type of "racing" just a few years ago in Athens, how quickly we forget). Evidently some fans too! CKS-"Guys this has to stop!" Then the players knowing the message decide to do it anyway, knowing if they get caught they will miss playing time. But they just couldn't care less! But boys will be boys, right?
It's all just fun and games until another kid get's killed or his body gets mangled, or some innocent driver suffers the consequences of their reckless behavior. Not to mention it's nationwide attention for UGA in a negative way.
UGA may be great at developing football players, but are they elite at develpoing great young men? If as a parent with a child who is elite in football and in life, I would probably take a hard look at these types of shannigans at UGA and compare with other colleges for sure.
We all know this is a black eye for a great coach,. UGA football and street racing! Is it the same thing as apple-pie and cheverolet? I don't think so. But that's just my opinion.
Or maybe he was never caught racing at 102 mph. Are you seriously excusing this with the reasoning being team loyalty? You do know a member of the team was killed a few years ago doing this same thing, don’t you?
Everyone speeds or did speed, particularly at that age but I would venture very few were racing at 102 mph and, if we did, we were arrested and our parents took our keys for a very, very long time.
His job.
Post of the day! Trophy on order…
Food for thought
Depending on what info source you believe to be true, Estimates that between 21% to 26% of highway fatalities are caused by impaired (drug/alcohol related). Think about that for a second.
That means between 74 and 79% of fatalities are caused by sober drivers. Let’s break it down a little further. Estimates are that between 5 and 10% of road fatalities are caused by faulty equipment or terrible road conditions (ice/snow etc)
That leaves around 60% of road fatalities. Here’s my point, put your fr gn phones down while you’re driving and be on alert for other idio tic distracted drivers who think it’s fine to text, call or watch tiktok videos while they drive. I have a friend who’s wife of 40 years was killed by a young woman who admitted she was looking at her phone to see who texted her as she barreled 35 mph thru a cross walk. Criticize these kids all you want for their bad choices but I simply ask…focus on the road. Drunk driving is barely a ripple in the bigger issue of distracted driving.
Ok, I will step off of the soapbox now. Stay safe, stay vigilant and teach your kids well. Don’t become an enabler. Cheers pup fans…
Great info there !! Curious when was this info. compiled ? Because it might only be a smaller fraction but in recent years Another category could be added. That’s Illegal Immigrants being issued CDLs that can’t even read our road signs written in English !! A Very preventable situation !! Some will try to put a political label on this . But NO !! Quite a few people have Died at the hands of people not even supposed to be in our country Yet have somehow obtained CDLs some with regular licenses as well. It’s Wrong !! And it’s preventable !! P.S. Driving on public highways is a Privilege NOT a Right !!
Lmao....yeah, you're right....if we crucify THESE errant Dawgs....it'll never happen again. Good plan (tic)…Lol....why didn't we think of that, centuries ago.
Every year, there's a new crop of immature kids...individuals...joining the workforce, in general...and CFB teams, more to the point.
And, every year presents a new and separate set of challenges. It's not a conspiracy or a "pandemic", Lol....or a virus. It's just human nature.
You can only control, what you can control....so, why sweat it. The only way to apply more influence and control...is to adapt a Marxist Philosophy. And...I'm not for that.
I believe in individual freedoms and individual responsibilities & accountabilities. So sad, they messed up....may God show them the way. That's all you can do....once they hit adulthood.
No need to drag it through the mud. That won't enable or disable anybody that comes after him. Just sayin.
Why that's BRILLIANT! BTW what you said above is not what you said below. But okay, I expect you to change your tune when you make a tone deaf comment.
"From the beginning of 2021 through February 2026, members of the University of Georgia (UGA) football program have been involved in at least 60 to 70 known moving violations. Within that timeframe, there have been over 25 separate arrests or bookings for high-speed reckless driving, racing, or driving under the influence (DUI)", AI/google.
"So why sweat it". SMH. Only a matter of time before it ends badly again.
So you think because every year there is a new crop of 18 year old's the adults should look the other way and stop consequences for illegal behavior? Not sure I follow your "logic" there.
"I believe in individual freedoms and individual responsibilities and accountabilities". You better. Playing fast and loose with the law is bound to get you in trouble (or worse) with the law sooner or later. Not all of us are lucky enough to be part of an organization with a handler and fixer to smooth over or make our improprieties vanish.
