Still a possibility of Ritchie or Fuentes getting 6th spot over Perez, but probably will continue to develop in minors.

What are expectations around here for Walt? Does it look like Bobby ball or do the players have a pulse?

I don't expect to win the division. Get into the playoffs and I'll be happy.

Bowman reporting that Fuentes likely to start out with the opening day roster and stating that Martin Perez will begin in the minors knowing he is the insurance go-to guy as a call-up starter, likely refusing his right to opt-out and sign with another team. Also shared that both Smith & Farmer signed deals to assure their spots on the opening day club as each is capable of opting out but with these announced signings signaling that they have indeed made the opening roster.

Very excited to see we will have a former Dawg in Kyle Farmer opening with the Braves this year. Is this the first since pitcher Alex Wood?

So, barring a late addition from a late move by AA - the opening day roster will be likely announced as the following:

Starting line-up (likely platoon at LF & DH):

RF Acuna, CF Harris, LF Yastremski against righties, & White against lefties

    1B Olson, 2B Albies, 3B Riley

SS Dubon, C Baldwin, DH Smith against righties & Farmer against lefties

    Bench:

    White (OF), Smith (OF/1B) & Farmer (INF/C), Mateo (SS/2B), Heim (C)

    Starters:

Sale, Strider, Lopez, Holmes, Elder & J Suarez*

    Relievers:

Iglesias, R Suarez, Lee, Kinley, Bummer, Payamps & Fuentes*

*J Suarez & Fuentes could be switched either way - starter or reliever - thought is to begin Fuentes in bullpen similar to Strider in his rookie 22 season.
