Yeah—It's the same old story, a fight for love and glory, a case of do or die—the world will always welcome—-great football players. GO DAWGS

Bottom line: All good news - The more players with game experience the Dawgs can bring back the better. We're leading the SEC and in the top echelon across the country.

Some players love competition for their spot and others don't (Dumas-Johnson). The guys that are practicing the hardest, playing the best, ultimately should get the start. But you've also got to manage the best combination of players on each side of the ball and how they specifically work and communicate together. Sometimes better players with conflicting personalities cause more problems than its worth. Gotta work out those issues or insert another player that gels better.

Better players pushing the top guys makes them better.

This is a result of recruiting and development. KS still leans on building his teams through high school recruiting rather than the transfer portal. He's searching out and signing high-level high school players who can come in early and earn playing time. The trick is to keep guys in the program who are losing playing time but add much-needed depth. So far, KS and the staff have done a great job of keeping players and getting them to buy into the compete for playing time mentality. Even guys who have signed in the portal have had to wait for playing time, see Tykie Smith and Elo Modozie.

Reddell will be a difference maker if they give him a chance.

I completely agree, and this is especially true for us at the QB position. I’m excited to see GS take the field as an already proven great QB and leader, but with another year of experience under his belt. If he’s added a couple of extra throws that he may not have been confident with last year, he will be a force. I can’t wait!

    GO DAWGS!
