Georgia defensive back JaâMarley Riddle arrested on speeding, two felony drug charges
Another Georgia football player has been arrested, with defensive back JaâMarley Riddle being charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, both of which are felonies, and a misdemeanor speeding offense.

Speeding is the least of his problems.
throw this bum off the team. Has never contributed anything to the program. It’s getting tiresome.
Time to cut this bad apple
Well… Sometimes you just have to cut a man loose. Misdemeanor traffic tickets are one thing, felony drug cases are another.
Medicinal marijuana for his injury?😉
"He has two seasons of eligibility remaining and is expected to help Georgia in the secondary this fall."
I pretty much doubt that with 2 felony charges!
Not here to defend the young man but MJ labled as a schedule one drug might be a little stringent. Of course carrying an ounce didn;t help his cause and speeding as well. Bunch of bad decsions. We may be short on DB's but not to the extent of allowing this.
Oh well. He’s done.
Send him back to ECU.
Okay, how **** does one have to be to speed with controlled substances in his car?
In Georgia, being charged with both possession of over one ounce of marijuana and a Schedule I controlled substance constitutes a serious felony situation with severe potential penalties
. As of 2026, Georgia law treats marijuana possession over an ounce (approx. 28 grams) as a felony, and Schedule I substances (like heroin, LSD, MDMA, or Psilocybin) are also felony offenses….
An ounce equals about 50 - 60 joints…..who knows what the S-1 was…..he gets a mulligan on the speeding charge but the others will occupy his time and what ever NIL cash he has for the next year…. So long Ja-Mar, and remember, a fool and his money are soon parted…..common knowledge since Proverbs, then Thomas Tusser 1573.
Primarily because of NIL, UGA recruiting is officially where Florida recruiting was under Dan Mullin. UGA clearly in a win at all costs mode. With recruiting turned on its ear by NIL, CKS has to take anybody that he thinks can help UGA win. Regardless of character.
Failure to identify character or feckless management?
On Yahoo sports today a Sporting News article was reprinted that went into damning detail about the transgressions of the UGA football program. Identifying in detail 34(?) incidences by UGA players since 2023. Not a good look.
I'll be the 1st to say it. Continued finishes outside the top 5 while continuing to have embarrassing incidences off the field will, rightfully, turn up the heat on CKS's seat in Athens.
@GtheGreek "An ounce equals about 50 - 60 joints". Really? You sure you don't mean bowls or hits? 28 grams to an ounce. Pretty small joints. Unless you are smoking alone. Pot is reportedly much stronger these days. With that small a joint all it takes is one Bogart and the circle stops about half way around.
What I find really interesting is that there was no charge for driving "impaired/under the influence". There are no studies to indicate scientifically and objectively when a pot smoker's driving ability has been impaired beyond the legal limit of liability.
The fact that he was speeding with felonious amounts of marijuana and controlled substances in the car is pretty indicative that he was impaired.
Your first paragraph is literally delusional. I would elaborate but it speaks for itself.
Why that is quite an articulate rebuttal.
UGA has had 3 '27 commits flip to other teams. And lost out on its target QB prospect to VA Tech (#82 prospect).
Dawgnation has had articles about UGA targets at OT (#385 prospect) and LB (#842 prospect - committed).
The cherry on top is a new TP recruit being arrested on 2 felony charges. Which prompted a long Sporting News article reprinted on Yahoo Sports yesterday outlining the 34 incidences of lawbreaking by UGA football players since '23.
All in the last 2 (?) weeks.
Your word is delusional. My word is denial.
