Georgia defender could become a ‘household name’ during key third season
Justin Williams has not yet had the chance to show why he was the No. 1-ranked linebacker prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Williams won’t be expected to play at that level for Georgia this year."
It would be interesting to know what his expectations are for himself. If he expects to play at that level and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it, then we could certainly see it happen. He is incredibly talented and highly motivated to be the difference maker for this defensive unit. With Wilson, Williams, and Cole I would be surprised if one didn't emerge to be a Butkus candidate for 2026, and I can imagine a guy like Williams thinking to himself "why not me?".

I really like our Linebackers for this coming season. I think they will be the strength of our defense. We're in mid-July—counting the days, as I'm sure y'all are, until college football kicksoff!!
Stoked to see these highly-talented LB’s this season. Hopeful they can neutralize moments like the last 45 seconds of the playoff loss to Ole Miss.
