As it turns out, Georgia has long been prepared to be without defensive tackle Xzavier McLeod.

I hope that he does hang around long enough to get a degree. football or no football that degree should help his future have a better chance of being successful.
Thanks Connor for the update. I think we now know the “when”, but I’m still perplexed as to the “why” he left other than he was tired of football. I understand if he thought he didn’t have a future in the NFL and was a few months away from getting his degree. I’m sure the day to day drudgery of football can gnaw at you if you no longer enjoy playing and we definitely don’t need players who aren’t 100% committed. I still think we may see his name pop-up in the portal in January where he could likely pick up a few more NIL bucks than he’s getting in Athens. Stay tuned. Good luck Xzavier and Go Dawgs!!!
The stories aren't adding up…. teammates referencing off-field issues. Coach referencing, he did want to play anymore… Obviously if I'm a teammate I'm going to play dumb to the media and not give out any details. Just odd all around, but I hope the young man finds his calling.
Pretty funny that everyone that’s associated with th program knew about this. Only folks who didn’t know about it were the beat writers who are supposed to be covering th Dawgs. Personally I don’t care about th why, next man is already up and rolling.
What I haven't heard is "Are they going to fill that roster spot to maintain the maximum the number of players they are allowed to have?"
