ATHENS — By any statistical measure, it was a successful day for Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton.

Lol....you're right. That Team....and many others I saw Saturday....wouldn't ģive UGA's practice squad much challenge in a scrimmage. Just sayin'..
But....the Dawgs looked far better prepared and more cohesive than i've seen em look against such teams in the past. I think that bodes well for the future.
Have you seen the confident smirk on Kirby's face, lately?. Something's afoot. Lol
Even though a very weak opponent GS did fine. 15 of 16 ( should have been 16 of 16 but Canion dropped a good pass right on his hands). 202 yds. in a Qtr. and a smidgen of the 2nd. Qtr. That’s good regardless of inferior opponent.
It was the first “ real game” if you can call it that. No INTs. no fumbles, no tucking the ball and taking off by GS. He’ll get better each game played, I’m very confident of that. What Dawgs fans need to understand and accept is that as he gets more aggressive with the ball there Will be more INTs. It’s risk vs reward. We should Score more with his being aggressive but the risk of more INTs is assuredly there.
Even 24K Manning threw one this weekend. He had more snaps than Gunner and didn’t fare much better. Yes I know he threw for 303 yds. vs. Gunner’s 202. But he stayed on the field considerably longer and got more snaps. If Gunner had stayed in the whole half he might have got well over 400 yds.
I’m not that concerned about GS for now. I’m concerned on what do we have should he get seriously injured ? The starting Offense was Great ( vs this inferior opponent). And the starting Defense was also Great. OU is gonna be the Dawgs first true test. Go Dawgs !!
W.KY won’t tell us much more they were slaughtered by Nevada 41-14 I think was the score. At Ark. might give a smidgen of clarity. But OU is gonna be the game that tells us where the Dawgs are in my opinion.
Gunners 2025 and Leavitt’s 2024 stats are almost mirror images of each other, Gunners just a bit better against tougher competition.
Third school, three different conferences, still boasting a 50% completion rate is being coronated Pope of the 3rd Ward🤷
If college teams played pre-season games, we wouldn’t be play teams such as Tennessee State. But they don’t, so, we do. Granted TSU is vastly inferior, but we’ve had recent history of the Dawgs struggling with vastly inferior teams. I just want fans to tamper their enthusiasm a bit, as every SEC team looked formidable over the weekend, some — LSU — more than others — Auburn.
