Pugs has ZERO touch on the ball. That's 2 that was shot out of a cannon from 5 yards away
Yea, they’re getting some much needed playing time. Both sides of the ball are slow and sloppy compared to the starters, which isn’t really fair because the starters are the best in college football.
I can't really give him a lot of props on that TD run...though, I would like to.
That was an excellent play-call.…Fake 21 14 QB Draw, basically....at the perfect time. I can' tell if he called that at the line or huddle. But, if he put them in that play on a read....fantastic job!
Lol...it's a good thing there was nobody in hollering' distance on the right side of the field. They stayed away from him, like he had B.O.... Lol...at least he held the ball correctly...in the right arm.
He's got some speed and he seems promising as a leader. That play to Williams is the type play that would put a guy at QB #2....imo. Thinkin' on his feet. Smart.
Man, zero love for the kid, even when he has a 70 yard TD run. There have also been 2 other Dawg fumbles since Puglisi’s in a pouring rain.
And the ball just slipped from the WKU quarterback. It is W.E.T.
Four fumbles.
How in the world is Kirby gonna keep the Dawgs "out of the 80 point plateau? The rat poison is gonna be off the chartd.
They can't help but, score...with the defense involved. Lol
WKU still has their number 2 QB (could be number 1) and other starters playing while we have emptied the bench. You do that to me, I run the score and start throwing deep.
Maybe you didn't understand what I was saying or I said it poorly. Yeah...the fumble was a thing....but, two or three fumbles can become a trend and a problem. Just something to keep an eye on, going forward.
I like Puglisi...cause, he's not afraid to tuck 'n run. He's A ballplayer....you can tell. As long as he doesn't make the same mistakes over and over....and learns from them....he'll be fine.
Pugs aint finished cookin', yet. Neither is Montgomery. But, today and last Saturday went a long way toward that end. It's been like putting them in an Air Fryer & Microwave Oven, compared to the "experience" and quality reps, quarterbacks were getting over the last few years.
Every quarterback has their share of "awe ****". Even Murray, Bennett and Stafford had em. Lol. I won't hold it against Puglisi...unless, he does it again...and again...and again. Then, it's A problem. As a QB...you can't work against yourself.
It can crush an offense to lose faith in your QB. Pugs made up with his offense on that long run. They don't know that the only danger he faced....was the possibility of tripping or dropping the ball too soon. He's too smart and athletic for that though....so....good job.
Just call the game. Makes me sick watching this pee-wee football offense. It's going 3 and out every possession, and force the defense on the field.
Hate to say it, but besides the run by Pugs, I don't think UGA actually has a super reliable no. 2 qb. They both played a better defense (not sec quality) and struggled mightily against them. The offense in general.
Dammit!
And get it back. OK then.
Really wanted a better than 50 win. Because 50 isn’t enough. I shouldn’t be annoyed with that big a win but dang it!
Backups or not, this defense has absolutely been embarrassed by what, you guessed it, a backup qb.
The defense was out there for 74 plays. Backups or not. That's too much.
Every rep makes em better....especially, the Pups They'll watch the film...identify errors…learn & make corrections.
Imo....these are the games you want to do that. Kirby has always played the backups liberally, in the Cupcake Games....However....It usually, showed up in the Stats and on the scoreboard.
These Dawgs are playing beyond anything I can recall in CFB...outside of maybe, The '96 Corn Huskers. I can't wait to see what they do with their SEC schedule.
Imo...NOBODY in CFB has played at the level UGA has...."Conistently". We've yet to see OSU in Game 2. Bama & OU laid eggs. Looks like point shaving or somebody taking a dive. Makes no sense. Lol
How in the world, could Bama, Oregon, Oklahoma & Michigan go from what they looked like in week 1....to what they looked like today. In a week?. Anytime Michigan is involved in an unexpected Victory......ya gotta wonder.
