Loser, the guy who chose the new play by play guy on 95.5. Wow, is he terrible. Someone at WSB should be fired. Even my wife was making fun of him. Like Barney Fife calling a game. Need to get that fixed WSB.
"Jones came down with Georgia’s first interception of the season, perfectly undercutting a pass from Western Kentucky’s Rodney Tisdale."
He was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct at the end of the play, which backed them up to the 16-yard line instead of the 1-yard line. Jones is also the player who was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct against Alabama in the 2025 SEC championship which negated a sack and eventually lead to Alabama's only score. I sincerely hope he is better because of what he experienced in the Sugar Bowl as the article states, but he will have to control his emotions and put an end to the pattern of selfish unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. UGA is exactly the place where a talented guy like Jones can become a better football player, so I believe he has a bright future, and I look forward to watching that transpire.
GO DAWGS!
Love the way Demello plays, starting with the big hits vs. Texas last year. Plus, he looks like a young Fred Sanford.
Not sure why Oklahoma deserved a mention as there were plenty more things to mention about Dawgs. WKU seemed to have great success in passes to one area. Sorry coverage person unknown. Seems there should have been some mention of defense bending a lot to give up 20 and yes I know that may have been against lower stringers.
So far kick offs and punting has been good and that is part of special teams… I would think.
Glad we have gotten the white uniform issue out of the way so we can focus on SEC football.
Dawgs just need to keep Choppin and getting better. My biggest concern from the game was Green getting injured. Man I sure hope he’s OK. We Need him on ST’s and also his potential in the secondary. We’ve got people in front of him but he is a rising star and will be a great player by next year. That is If he’s not injured seriously.
Jones was the one who was flagged, but he didn't do anything unsportsmanlike. All I could put together was that the team's celebration at the endzone was what actually drew the flag, and that was a result of his interception. Unless there was something that I missed.
osmosiphobe…That’s what I thought as well. If that is the case, running stadium steps is the perfect cure for that ill! Go Dawgs!
@osmosiphobe I didn’t see what actually occurred to draw the penalty, just heard the referee assign it to number 8 as you mentioned in your comment. Jones is incredibly talented with a very bright future, I don’t want to see him or anyone else make the kind of mistakes that are costly to the team and damaging to their reputation. The intent of my original comment was definitely not to berate him, but to emphasize that all unsportsmanlike conduct penalties can and should be avoided.
Agree 💯!!!
With a kickoff return for a TD and a recovered fumble on the first Kickoff!!? One fumbled punt and every other good play negated!!?
Unbelievable!
I completely agree. He doesn’t have a voice for football. I would like to know the reasons for the change and Scott Howard’s side of the story.
