“When it happened, listen, I’ve got the deep, most respect for Kirby Smart and the Georgia athletic department and everything that he’s about,” Silverfield said. “Obviously, he’s done it at a high level so certainly a lot of respect for him. When it occurred, I reached out to him. He’s always been great to me. Even at my time at Memphis. He allowed us to come be a part of the camps. I think he knew that it was no ill will. Listen, I’ve got a lot of respect for him and what they’re doing.”
Little to late, even after an immediate apology. to put that toothpaste back in the tube, don't ya think Coach Silverfield!?

much ado about nothing is right…. Whatever UGA does on Saturday will have nothing to do with those comments. With or without the comments UGA should win regardless
I don’t think Smart really cares. People outside the Georgia program (fans, media) will make a big deal about the statement but the coaches and players really don’t care. Georgia should win easily because they have the better team and coaches. But “should win” is not the same as “will win.” We just can’t take Arkansas lightly and/or get caught looking ahead to Oklahoma.

He has scared eyes when discussing his approach to UGA. Lolol....moreover...He sounds like he's been having nightmares about this game....when discussing their issues "running the ball and shedding one-on-one coverage".
I don't know....maybe UGA's NOT the Team to run on anyway. And, if you can't break one-on-one coverage versus N. Ala. or Utah....what do you think your odds are against UGA's All World Secondary?.

Kirby is being Kirby in reference to his response to the comments made by Silverfield, but us fans no better. When Vandy refused to play the COVID game back in 2020 (robbing our Seniors of Senior Day), that slight wasn't ignored and was punished accordingly—62-0 (2021), 55-0 (2022), 37-20 (2023). I'm sure Kirby, in private, has taken Silverfield's comment as a direct insult to Dawgnation and a deeply personal affront. I'm quite sure that on Saturday he will not call the Dawgs off if we're winning in a lopsided route. Silverfield MUST learn a painful lesson in who his betters are…

Kirby won't have to say anything. Silverfield was talking about the players and I am sure the players heard it! They have probably been looking forward to this game as soon as it was announced that he took the Arkansas job. Sic'em!!
