My trip to William Brice Stadium

A quick background. I'm a native of Augusta but have lived in Maryland since 2001 (Military). I love my Dawgs there is no doubt about that. But have to split my allegiance now. My son is a freshman TE at FCS Towson Univ. We made the trip down for the their game against SC. Got to visit fam and enjoy the game even during the down pour and weather delay. We knew it was a long shot at getting a W, but for 2 1/2 qtrs it was nice for our boys to hang in there. There was no chance we could run the ball against their DL but we hit some passes on them and with their penalties and WR dropping balls kept it closer than their liking. Game day experience was pretty good even though we stuck out like a highlighter (as my daughter would say) going through the crowd to the stadium. Sandstorm was ok. But their 4th qtr lightshow has nothing on UGA's. Game atmosphere was still electric we enjoyed our trip down. The experience our players got playing in a SEC venue and that size crowd was great. They felt it some last week at Navy but this was on another level.

One small nugget my, son was recruited to Towson by coach Phelps who is now on the UGA staff as an OQC staffer.

GOH TIGERS!! GO DAWGS!!

Glad it was good and you played them well. As a Dawg fan, Williams-Brice ranks right up there with my worst venues ever. Tailgating in parking lots, hotter than most, and pretty inhospitable fans.

Luckily I had my tailgate tent, we were in that open field Woodstock lot. We were like why are talking trash you are suppose to win. I was like wait until you start conference play.

My youngest when to and graduated from SC , I had NO info on Columbia until I moved her into the dorm. I always had a great time and met a lot of really great fans. I think I just got lucky but overall great experience .

They took my wife's pom pom's going through security, but was handing out game towels right behind them. Made no sense. Then they came up in the stands and told a parent from our team she cant ring her cowbell smh. I was like are we allowed to clap and yell.

Well hopefully if you go to the game in November the construction will be down down in the concourse. You have to enter the gate that is stated on your ticket, because you cant access but certain sections. We were in section 17 SE so you have to go to the SE gates. If you try and go to another gate they will send you away to the proper gate.
