"Taylor did an excellent job of creating separation, giving Stockton an easy window to throw into."
Creating separation by the receivers is one piece of the puzzle that will help take the passing game to a higher level than last year. Separation by the receivers, Tight Ends who are a matchup nightmare for anyone on our schedule, more effective pass protection by the OL, and a fantastic QB with a year of starting experience under his belt will all add up to a passing game that will endure any challenge. This improvement will increase the offensive production and keep Gunner Stockton and company on the field longer (especially with a 4th quarter lead) while John Mateer, Keelon Russell, and Trinidad Chambliss can only watch from the sideline.
GO DAWGS!
The rewatch will also show an OL that let a sorry DL like WKU blow through and hit Gunner more than once. Helton was the culprit twice, I'm not sure who else. Raucsher has got to tighten that up or Gunner's going to get killed.
Good comments !! I think Rauchsher will get it fixed. But this is where Gunner having mobility comes in handy. GS so far doesn’t tuck the ball and run, he stays in there to make the pass. But he Could run if he has the need !!
And he probably Will when the Dawgs face more competitive teams. Rival defenses need to Have to respect that possibility which makes it more difficult for them !! These Dawgs the whole team are only gonna get better with every game played !!
