Texas has played 2 good teams where we only played OK which one has to wonder how good they really are. Beat Bama, Ole Miss and Florida then you have an augmented. It only matters that you are ranked #1 at the end of the season.

Mateer simply dropped the ball with a receiver wide open in the end zone to make it 14-7 if he completed a pass either you or I could have completed. We didn’t “force” that fumble. Surely Oklahoma has a better QB on the roster. Makes you wonder what he’s using to bribe the coaches

Pretty much agree with your rankings Mike. However, I would not have USC ranked. They lost at home to an Oregon team playing its backup QB. Not ranking Michigan either. They should be 2 & 2 on the year. If you need a secret clock adjustment to beat Western Michigan, you shouldn’t be ranked imo. I would have Mississippi State ranked higher. Otherwise, I like your rankings.
@JBMDawg46 Those turnovers are forced because Mateer is playing faster, thinking faster because of the pressure that's been applied throughout the game - it wears down opponents.
