This is a serious rationalization: 'The No. 2-ranked Bulldogs are coming off a 41-13 win over Oklahoma in what deceptively appeared to be an easy win, until one digs deeper and recognizes the Sooners’ four turnovers had more to do with the score than the majority of play.'
You act like turnovers are just gifts given. I tend to believe they are created.
“(Curtis) is the guy that, he wants to put it on his shoulders in the critical moment,” Lea said….The Dawgs will place Mr Curtis in that position and I hope he embraces it with all of his HS tallent…..easy to beat one rather than 11.
Well said @cycledawg . Turnovers are pretty much worthless unless the defense capitalizes on them. Chris Cole did just that. Plus I believe that the Dawgs defense was in Mateer’s head very early on. @MikeGriffith said in an earlier thread that things were speeding up in Mateer’s mind causing him to rush plays and make those mistakes.
So in my view when the Defense capitalizes on mistakes those are earned turnovers, Not gifts. Kirby wants to label them as gifts so his defense will continue working all the harder.
Even vs. inferior teams it’s pretty clear the Dawgs have a very, very good defense. I believe they will only get better each game played and could end up going from very good to Great !!

@GoodOlDawg @cycledawg Yes, game circumstance dictated much of the offense in the second half, and the early lead was a result of the defense producing turnovers and short fields

Vanderbilt is no longer that program, and if Dawgs take them for granted they are going to get their butts beat!
You can be sure that CKS and his team are taking Vandy very seriously and would never take them for granted. Whether I take them for granted or not will never impact the game one way or another. The Vanderbilt Commodores will always be “that program” that had a female kicker, and subject to my ridicule if that’s what I choose to do.

The young man has started two games …… two! They played two HS teams (Austin Peay and Delaware), he started against NC State (which they should have lost) and lost to Auburn!
Jordan Hare is a paper tiger when it comes to fan involvement and hostility (been there, seen it) …. their fans give up with the slightest adversity.
This young man has not a clue concerning the "welcome" he is about to receive from the Dawg faithful this Saturday! They will be fired up and ready to let him know the mistake he made!!
