Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo likes what he sees from the nation's top-scoring offense with Gunner Stockton hitting on big plays this season.

Saban would have hired Muschamp as our DC and Faulkner as our OC. Both better than what we've got now. And they were available. As 61 would say, "IMO".
We all have our opinions, what we believe to be objective reasoning, constructive criticisms, etc. And that’s OK. What I don’t like or care for is when it’s personalized. One commenter here speculated: “ I wonder how GS will do without his “pacifier” Branch to throw to ?” Essentially calling Gunner a Baby in need of a pacifier. That’s uncalled for period !!
But this particular commenter I’m referring to goes after Gunner at every opportunity ( real or perceived) that he can. Always criticizing never complimenting. And his criticisms tend to be overly harsh the majority of the time.
Of Course Gunner tried to connect to Branch as often as possible as Branch had the most YAC of any of our receivers. But that does not mean he didn’t spread the ball around. All one need do is go to the official site and look at individual player stats. You will see Gunner did in fact spread the ball around quite a bit actually
And Some fans ( I think a minority) act like we’re supposed to be totally ashamed of last season !! 12-2 with the SEC Crown is a very, very good season. Did the Dawgs reach the goal they hoped for ? No. And NO Dawgs fans don’t want to “settle” for anything less than a Ntl. Title. But the reality is it’s Higjly improbable they will win it every year or even every other year. That’s Why the B2B Nattys were so incredible !!
But I remember very clearly the comments like: His arm’s not strong enough for the deep passes, he doesn’t know how to read defenses, he doesn’t see open receivers, he runs with the ball to often. Is that Gunner their talking about ? No. At the time it was Stetson Bennett !!
Rival fans sure won’t be cheering for our team or QB !! That’s our place to do that. Gunner Stockton is a Great representative of UGA on and off the field of play. He has the personality traits that any Father or GrandFather could be proud of !! If nothing else we know every game Gunner is gonna give his best effort. Not for personal fame. Or Heisman stats. But for his Team, his football Brothers. I’m very Proud of him !! And glad that my adult son and grandsons watch him play !! By the way I’m Super proud of my Son and my four Grandsons !! Love them So much !! Go Dawgs !!
I’ll maintain until my time on ole terra firma is over that the playoff loss was a Team Loss ! Gunner was sacked 3 times. Chambliss sacked Zero times. Ever reliable Woodring who I love, he’s a great kicker ! Went 2 of 3 FGs. The Ole Miss was 3 of 3 with long kicks of 55 yds. and 57 yds. There was only 6 seconds left when the Safety occurred so highly improbable that the Dawgs would come back any way.
Dawgs led on the scoreboard until mid 3rd qtr. Then it became a tug of war the rest of the game. OM kicked the killer FG to go up 37-34 with a microscopic amount of time to respond. Maybe Gunner could have and should have done better. And I realize QB is a vital position. But to say the loss was All on him is incorrect in my view. It was a Team loss.
The Good News is many of those “ young players” on our defense are young no more !! I Believe this 2026 Dawgs team will get better and better with each game played !! Go Dawgs !!
Breaks my heart to see Muschamp on the TX sideline. 😥 I wonder if KS and UGA even made him an offer ? Same for Faulkner, I wonder if they even tried to get him to stay ? Guess we’ll never know. The mud lizards are gonna be a tough row to hoe. The good news is historically our Dawgs have done well stopping the “premier” RBs !! Remember a couple of years back when Ole Miss had that big RB that was on fire for them ? And you remember our Dawgs shut him down like a valve !!
What was your point, again? Lol.
I still believe that UGA rides or dies with Stockton, this Season, for reasons other than athletic differences between the quarterbacks. There's something in the heart and between the ears that drives a winner to do what is required.
Bennett had IT....and, I believe Stockton has IT. And, IT wins Championships. I "Hope" Pugs & Monty have IT....when and if, the time comes. But, there's no substitute for IT....just ask Miami. Lol
Imo....those kinds of quarterbacks are pretty rare. Especially, these days, cause everybody wants the flashy, instant success with the "Showboat QB". Kirby holding on to Pugs & Monty....and, giving them that much playing time....is a very good sign that they may have the IT factor. He sees potential, anyway....And, that's good enough for me.
I just don't see the need in even discussing a QB replacement with a quarterback and surrounding cast, like UGA has right NOW. But, I do remember there were some detracting Gator Fans that didn't like Tim Tebow either. Lol...to each his own.
Go Dawgs!
Muschamp will be the next Head Coach hired for "megabucks".…maybe at Texas if things keep going sideways in Austin. Lol
Just to clarify my point — I’m not advocating replacing Stockton. He’s the best quarterback we have right now, and he’s proven he can win.
My only criticism is that I’d like to see better downfield vision and a little more willingness to consistently attack the deeper part of the field. That doesn’t mean I think Puglisi or Montgomery should be starting.
I think we can go a long way with Gunner.
My expectations are pretty straightforward: get into the playoff and win a game or two. Anything beyond that would be gravy.
My original point was simply that we shouldn’t confuse “Stockton is clearly our best option” with “we already know everything about the quarterbacks behind him.”
Those are two different arguments.
Go Dawgs.
If Texas keeps losing the big games or no natty, there will be an opening in Austin. Boomer has proven he has coordinator chops. His HC record may keep him out of the pool. If the job does open up, Texas alumni will be looking for a proven HC and they will pay mega bucks to get one. Cignetti, maybe. Kiffin? That would be fun. Day? Sirianni will be looking soon.
Yeah...I like Cignetti, too. He seems to be a Coach's Coach driving a standard, like Smart.....And, Kiffin?...Lol, what can I say...hell to the yeah.
Muffin is entertaining and a "Solid Offense Guy".... just like my man, Steve Spurrier. I hope he continues providing fun fodder for years. I see him winning a Natty one day....but, not yet....not yet.
