ATHENS — Georgia fans entered Sanford Stadium hoping the Vanderbilt Commodores would play Jared Curtis and that their Bulldogs would roll to another easy win.

While Curtis did not play, Vanderbilt did get some reps for Whit Muschamp. He is the son of former Georgia assistant Will Muschamp. ummm duh I think fans would know that smh
Pleased with the Dawg's offensive play and loved seeing BoBo open up things more on the passing game, including to TEs. Gunner looked fantastic today. His best outing of the year and looked in complete control. My only critique would be that a few of his balls were in very thrown in very tight coverage and could have been intercepted. WRs will need to create more separation against better competition.
Dawg's defense kept Vandy to 5/12 on 3rd downs, but the D-line was gashed more than once for long runs. That will need to be cleaned up against Bama which DOES have a legit running game this year (179 rushing yards today while holding MS State to 18 yards). Our secondary played better in the 2nd half but was picked apart pretty well in the 1st. That won't work well against Keelon Russell who has very good legs as well.
If the Dawgs don't get pressure on Keelon Russell next week, it's gonna be a Bama win. Our secondary was supposed to be a strength. Not so much today. Too many busted coverages for a veteran group.
If Kirby would have wanted to rub salt in Vandy’s wound he could have went for a TD after the long run by Bo Walker toward the end. But they kneed it out. Dawgs defense didn’t play up to their standard today. They know it, Kirby knows it, the Dawgs fans know it. But that has pretty much Nothing to do with how Good or how Bad they will play vs. Bama. Same for the Dawgs Offense.
Every game is unique unto its self. I’m sure the Dawgs Defense will learn from their errors today. Like I’ve said so many times it’s a Team game. Today the Offense helped carry the game. Another time it might be the Defense that helps carry the Team to winning. Just keep learning, keep practicing, keep Chopping !! Go Dawgs !!
Can always count on navy to get our shape back & reestablish some sanity✌🏻
“It was not a perfect day for Georgia, as it marked the first time all season the Bulldogs didn’t win by at least 28-points.”
Bless your heart Mr Riley.
I’ll take a win any time but another game where we underperformed in some major facets of the game. And today against a back up QB on a second or third tier SEC team. The secondary continues to scare me the most, which is crazy considering the talent. The team will have to play a lot better to beat Bama next week. Same with coaching.
Man, I hate it when we only get XX rushing yards.
I love demello’s work ethic and enthusiasm but sure looks like he gets out of position a bit, I imagine Russell and company will be looking to expose his shortcomings. Gonna be a dogfight next Saturday night! Go dawgs.
Thx Brother !! I Needed to hear that. Some people get peed off at me for Trying to be positive. I’ve got Allot of serious medical issues going on and emotional crap going on. So I’m gonna try to Enjoy the Dawgs at every opportunity.
I think of it as sort of like my duty to pull for our Dawgs. Rival fans won’t that’s for sure. If the Dawgs lose I’ll shed some dawg tears, wipe Em off and gird up for the Next game !!
Mud Lizards are down 27-10 at the moment to Mizzou and the Tigers are driving on them as I type. When UF loses it’s always a good day !! Bama looks really good but we just don’t know till we play them !! Mizzou just went up 30-10 !! Go Dawgs !!
“Georgia would finish with a season-low XX rushing yards”
That is a low total, no doubt.
Gunner was outstanding, bespecially with his accuracy on deep balls.
Lol!
And much obliged for the positivity sir. After 40+ years a Dawg, I’ve accepted the fact "I was weened at the nipple of Larry Munson’s scratch"
