Yeah I guess it’s pretty nice for Saban to draw $500K a year from Bama while being on ESPN at the same time. No conflict of interest there right Nikiboy ? I wouldn’t want our players to watch College Game Day.
But I hope someone will pass the word to them that Nick says Bama will dominate the Dawgs. A little added fire for our Dawgs won’t hurt anything. Though he has a legal right to draw $$ from Bama as an “advisor” and be an analysis/sportscaster with ESPN, it just doesn’t sit right with me. He’s already stinking rich.
Let some young up and coming sports news person have that slot. ESPN worships him and will probably build their own statue of him. 🙄
Saban…. what a tool!
There comes a time of public fatigue with a brand, celebrity, etc. I reached mine with Saban shortly after he retired from coaching. Not sure if or when it will happen with rest of the public, but man I'm tired of him. Reminds me of: The Judds, Belichik, Atlanta sports talk radio (Steak, Dimino, Chuck Oliver, etc.), Deniro, etc. Seemed like the Judds had a couple dozen "farewell" tours.
Who exactly has ‘Bama played that’s tested them…
We allowed the BAMA QB to get way to comfortable at the beginning of the game last year, playing soft coverage. We made adjustments at half time but we had already dug ourselves a hole. Not this year! I would rather they connect on one or two long throws than to hold the ball for long drives and milking the clock, and wearing out the defense. Get to the QB!
And after tonight we STILL will not have played anyone.
what else did anyone expect Saban to say in front of the Alabama crowd? Game day is a bunch of choreographed nonsense that doesn’t emotionally impact players is any way! Players on both teams realize that if the don’t show up and play with their hair on fire every single down they will get their butt whipped.
If our secondary plays like it did against Vandy and no pass rush then Nicky may be right. Offense better protect Gunner or it will be a long night. Go dawgs and shock the world and get some much needed respect that no one gives the Dawgs
