Dawgs had plenty of miscues, key penalties, (2) trips inside or just outside the Red Zone in Q4 that only netted 3 points. Honestly, we had better stats overall but kept trying to give the game away and keep it close.
Both teams made key mistakes at times in a game where the margin for error is miniscule. Dawgs just made a few less.
Gunner outplayed their all-world QB. Our #3 RB outplayed their #1. Our #5 receiver outplayed their #1, and our other WRs/TEs looked every bit as good or better than their touted receivers. Our lunch pail guys on both sides of the ball more than held their own against Alabama's line of scrimmage. Both teams had iffy calls/non-calls that helped or hurt them. The main thing Georgia did worse than Bama was let go of the ball way too much. Georgia traveled to Tuscaloosa amidst hurricane warnings and beat a very good Bama team in every important statistical category including the scoreboard in their hostile backyard. Next. Go Dawgs!

Georgia’s defense limited big plays from Tide QB Keelon Russell and held the Tide to their fewest points at home since 2011.
All of this article is true and the comment from Cole is especially prescient - Bama had only 3 possessions in the second half and that is due to the strong defense but also the offense controlling the game. In quarter 1, Bama’s drive of almost 10-minutes yields only 3 points. Someone earlier made the point that UGA was forced to go deep in the roster for running backs and receivers and came out ahead. Speaks volumes about the coaching staff and the players’ DNA! Great win and now onto Auburn. Go DAWGS!
