Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer praised Georgia QB Gunner Stockton for his clutch play in Georgia's 20-17 win over the Crimson Tide.

GS had his best game ever IMO.
Well deserved win!
Better gear up for all the complaining coming this week. All last week Alabama fans were spouting off how bad they were gonna beat the Dawgs and how after they did they didn’t want to hear us whining about the refs and penalties. Shoe is on the other foot now. There may be better QBs somewhere out there but there’s not another one in the country that I would prefer to have running this team. And wins like this I think shows Kirby’s method of evaluating and recruiting the correct players, then keeping and developing them can hang with the “ buy all of your players” method that is so prominent now in college football. UGA is the only SEC team that all 5 starting o linemen are original Dawg signees, and to play as well as the whole team did despite not having your #1 and #2 RBs as well as other positions just shows the depth Kirby has created. Last night’s game should be a “ poster child” for recruiting players that want to win and be developed. Go Dawgs!
Sad that we had our starting RBs out, starting WRs out. Bama is not that good. A few busted plays on our D. This game should not have even been close.
Any misgivings or doubts about Gunner that I had previously are gone. The guy commands this offense, has the full respect of his teammates, and threw the ball brilliantly. Did he get a little lucky on a couple of those passes that could have been incompletions or maybe interceptions? Probably. But we needed and got a little lady luck last night...more than Bama did that's for sure. Dawgs tried to give the game away at times or keep it close, but we made one less miscue than Bama and executed when we had to have it.
Resilience. That was yesterday.
Phillips and Gunner are the MVPs. GO DAWGS!
The top teams in the SEC are Georgia and Bama. Ole Miss beat up on Vandy bc there backup QB is better then the true freshmen who they chose to sit out against us. Dwight Phillips may be our best rb bc he knifes thru those holes and each time it could be a home run. Every time #20 touches the ball it could be an home run and we got receivers and tight ends like that too. This Georgia offense is fast as they come. Even if they call the pass interference, I love our chances to drive the ball and win. We probably had the worst average starting field position in the history of football on any level. What stopped our offense was penalties, miscommunication, fumbles and bad snaps. The wet field hurt us more then Bama bc our team if no one has noticed is built around pure speed. We are as fast as we have ever been on offense. The trend in the SEC does not favor us at all next week expect a sluggish start but Auburn can’t hang with us for 4qu.
That Alabama broadcast we all watched last night was brought to us by ABC and ESPN. Kirk Herbstreit is still up in the booth, balled up in the corner, **** his thumb with Fowler rubbing his back in circular motions like mother soothes a crying child. Both wearing their favorite Houndstooth fedoras saying, “yes Kirk it was pass interference, life just isn’t fair sometimes.”
From Seth Emerson this morning...brilliant take on the game...
" The Bulldogs were the more disciplined team. It was Alabama that committed the silly penalty — unsportsmanlike conduct before Georgia had third-and-2 — that sealed the game.
They were the luckier team. It was Georgia that was not called for pass interference on Alabama’s final drive. Call it the ghost of Tyler Simmons, who as all Georgia fans will remind you, was onside in the 2018 national championship loss to Alabama.
Breaks? Yes. But Georgia was also the better team. It was better at the start, when it jumped out to a 10-0 lead. It was better at the finish, closing out the game. It was better overall, averaging more yards per play (7.5 to 5.8)."
I am hoping Frazier was spared so he can be fresh for Auburn. Big trap games next week for both these teams.
If these two Bama loving announcers were part of the officiating crew we wouldn't have had a chance. Their announcing is a 3 hour glorification and history of the Tide, while we get a "nibble" every so often.
Just remembered that Herby sits beside Saban every Saturday on "Game Day", so that makes him an automatic Bama lover.
Wonder if stephen a smith still feels the same today after gunner outperformed Smiths little darling keelon russell last night..
Best observation/question so far this morning! Go Dawgs!
I agree, though might not call Gunner "lucky", since we've been begging him to take more chances and give his receivers opportunities to make plays. And boy did they! Go Dawgs!
