Georgia football graded out well after 20-17 road win at Alabama on Saturday,

Bout right.
For the first time in weeks I’ll mostly agree with the grade of our special teams, although I might not be as harsh. Especially given how the poor tackling grade for our total defense was overlooked. Bumping into good runners does nothing.
Someone needs to remind Sacovie that you do not field a punt inside the 8 and never, EVER field a punt that is bouncing in the middle of the opposing team’s coverage. He rarely looks good back there and I can’t believe he is the best option.
O-line did a great job...need a shout to those guys. Secondary tightened up and the D-line got some pressure and enough containment to keep Russell off- balance.
Phillips was brilliant and Walker as well. Over 200 yards rushing...I can eat any doubts I had about them being able to replace Frazier and Bowens.
Luck? A+
Resilience? A+
Breaks going Dawg's way? A+
Overall better team - Dawgs? YES...A+
Gunner..A…come on! Special teams…no show!
Bolden got lucky on the non-call PI, and also didn't help contain on Bama's last TD run that bounced outside (though Harris also didn't set the edge on that one). Otherwise, your grades and observations seem sound to me. Go Dawgs!
I suspect Kirby has already done some reminding, and will do plenty more. 😉 Go Dawgs!
Grades are pretty accurate. Would like to suggest adding Coaching as a category to grade. Bobo's play calling was top notch!!
On target this week. Coaching A. Referees "A+". Special teams C with Miller sending punt into endzone instead of inside 5 yard line and off course Peyton's first miss of season. Sacovie-White should not even have touched the punt return ball. Second string runners and receivers A+ for stepping up. Complete team win! Go Dawgs!!!!
Dawgs had to beat 2 announcers, th weather girl, a fired up Bama crowd, and th best most expensive portal team around with a bunch of scrappy home grown boys who are led by an F-150 driving Rabun county mountain boy.
Love these Dawgs!
Fair assessment. BUT: "it’s hard to mark him down too much for the one interception he threw on a pass that was deflected" Then why did you?
I give Gunner an A/A+ and a Heisman nomination. He's playing like he's already playing on Sunday.
If Green was not hurt, he might be the best punt returner.
Gotta hand it to Kirby, Bobo, & Schumann and the entire team. As frustrated as I was during the game with a few calls and broken coverages, in hindsight the Dawgs defense held perhaps the hottest offense & QB in the country that was averaging 50/game to 17, with 14 of those coming on a few busted coverages and a last-second gamble TD with :03 left in the half. Bama couldn't have gotten much more than 100 yards of offense in the 2nd half. Our offense started several drives inside our own 15. We were missing our top 2 running backs, had several bad penalties get big plays called back, nearly turned the ball over several times, and we still come away from Tuscaloosa with the win? That says a lot about this team. GO DAWGS!
Our Dawgs beat Bama at Bama !! A+ !! Go Dawgs !!
it was an **** win and I’m still processing what that means when I see the Bulldogs as clearly the better team. Georgia missed its top RBs, hostile environment, a TD called back on phantom hold, too many penalties, fumbles, missed tackles etc., but we benefited from 1-2 massive calls that went our way, Gunner dropped dimes, and Philipps and Walker out performed.
UGA has yet to play its best ball. Take the win with all its warts and move on to Auburn. Let’s go!
Little concerned about the punt area.
