Georgia did something it had not done in 19 years on Saturday night: beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Was the ball catchable? That's debatable as well. If not, then there shouldn't have been any flag. But, there were other pretty obvious missed calls last night for both teams. Officiating is not perfect. I don't like to have the no-call controversy hanging over this game, but nevertheless, the bottom line is the better team won.
So, they got that right 👍!
The espn college football final guys had the best take on the call. They said everyone watching the game had slow motion replay. The zebra made the call in real time. It was a bang bang play but the zebra decided it was too close to call. I love the meme about that “Tyler Simmons says hi.” Bama fans, you’ll learn to live with it. Go Dawgs!

Don't disagree, but Dawgs fan, myself included, have shouted for years that Tyler Simmons was onsides!🤣😎
And THAT night, the better team did not win!
Go Dawgs!
And to all the talking head haters (looking at you Stephen A. and Paul Fineboob) saying that the Dawgs have not played anybody……. The answer is " we still have not played anybody!"
Bama fans, you’ll learn to live with it.
Love this statement!!! ….. but the truth is, they WON'T learn to live with it and will be haunted by and whining abut it for years!🤣😎
@Bdw3184 right you are! that one (Tyler Simmons blocked punt) cost us a Natty and last night was a regular season game.
Lol....I didn't know "Social Media" could "debate" stuff. Hmm....let me try.
Is anybody on Social Media mentioning the " Phantom Holding Call"....that called back a long Phillips TD run in the first half?
Or the Heisman numbers Stockton put up.…despite being disrespected by now of ESPN's lap dogs in the booth.
The fact is...."Social Media"....and "News Media"... are bent. They don't shoot straight. Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have out-gunned all of em with a UGA Shotgun loaded with talent. ON THE FIELD!
What's left for "Social Media" to do....but accept reality & bow to UGA on the steps of Butts-Mehre Hall, when King Kirby lifts the Trophy into the Trophy Case. Lol
Poor old "Social Media".... the "Can't-Get-Right" of the world strikes again! Lol....when are people gonna stop being guided to an opinion by BOTs and think for themselves. Smh.
Go Dawgs....right on time!
I do think it was PI. However, that does not negate the fact the better team won…without their top two rb's and 2 of their best receivers. I do not like the way the announcers went on-and-on about the PI. There were other questionable calls in the game. One holding call against UGA wiped out a TD and they wound up settling for a field goal. The announcers rightly noted that the call was questionable. But because of when it happened, they did not go on-and-on about the difference it made in the game. One play did not decide this game. There were several plays throughout that contributed to this victory. In fact, even after the no-call PI, Bama had another play to run. They were within field goal range and could have tied the game. Did the no-PI call cause them to be outplayed and sacked out of field goal range? Obviously not. The better team made a better play. Maybe at some later point in this season, a fully healthy UGA will play a fully healthy Bama and we will get to see who the best team is that day. This week the Bulldogs reign supreme.
Personally....I'm not debating it anymore.
Hell give it to em....and UGA still wins. Would've made no difference.
Didn't anybody notice that the Dawgs could've put up more points....if they wanted to. Even in that last drive that ended in a couple of kneeldowns.
Kirby said...the scoreboard wasn't the focus. Physicality was the focus.
Let's go ahead and take him at his word....since unlike Social & News Media sources...He doesn't Lie.
There were missed calls by the refs all night. If we got a rare break then so be it.
Chris, Kirk, and Bama fans can probably get crying towels pretty cheap at Dollar General !! 🤣
I've seen bad calls in almost every game I've ever watched..which is in the thousands. I loved the comment I saw someone else post on another article.. the line in the Dr Pepper Fansville commercial where the ref says "cry me a river" ..
Look our Dawgs and other SEC teams have got screwed over Numerous times over the years. To pay homage to the King Saban legacy. So let Em cry. Last night on Bama’s first TD there was a very clear Holding not called on them. Thought I was gonna have a heart attack it was So clear but No call. They lost. Tough get over it. Go Dawgs !!
I have never seen our fans throw bottles at the field or at the opposing team yet we have faced two piles of trash that did just that. If the conference wasn’t in bed with the elephants, they’d fine them.
Tell you what, let’s give them that call, which still does not guarantee a score, much less a touchdown, and take off their supposed touchdown with the blatant holding that also wasn’t called.
And everyone is happy. Their assumption is that that one play ends the game but there were over three minutes to play and we had all our timeouts as well as an offense on fire. You lost. Now shut up.
It wouldn't have even been a thing…Herbstreit & Fowler hadn't been given ESPN Marching orders…to keep Texas & Bama in the conversation, no matter what happened last Saturday.
In other words, they were instructed to......make excuses, find random blown calls against em that could've swung momentum, build up their players with ready made stories about playing with a broken arm (Lol)....etc.....same ol' hyperbole game……with the same ol' players.
UGA and Kirby Smarts Staff....transcend all that mess. They laugh in the general direction of "Hype"....and expose phonies. Lol
Go get em boys. It's a long Season. Pace yourselves.
