Georgia safety KJ Bolden addressed the potential pass interference that ABC commentators discussed at length with 3 1/2 minutes left to play.

Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll have to rewatch. Basically two no calls that canceled each other out.
No greater tears than pachyderm tears, ain't that right Fowler?
Mike,
Just read a story about how enraged Bama fans should be against KJ Bolden in his response to Klein. Not only do I not get that, but the "neutral" writer also declared that Bama would have had the ball at the 2 yard line for PI in the end zone. Fowler at least got that right about college ball for PI in the endzone. If the snap before the PI ocours inside the 2 yd line, half the distance. From 2-17 yard line, it is the 2 yard line for placement. From 18 yds out and beyond, it is 15 yards. The snap before the non call was from the 34 yd line. Even placement at the 19 yd line would not have guaranteed a victory or even a tie, given the continued tenacity of the Dawg defense. I'm ready now to totally focus on Auburn.
I liked Jake Fromm’s assessment talking with BA basically calling it an uncatchable ball. Referees give QBs free passes too often by calling PI when the ball poorly thrown and the WR doesn’t have a clue where the ball is. That’s what happened. Russell was under pressure and threw short into the ground well in front of the WRs feet.
What was KJ supposed to do? "Un, mr. ref sir, that was on me, why don't you all just change your mind and throw the flag, huh, mr. ref, sir?"
The writer of that story should have commended KJ for being so forthright!
Go Dawgs!
Strange how Kirk & Chris always have weird visual issues when Bama plays. Always seeing things in Bama’s favor. Funny how that goes. 🙄
Sad once again how all media talks about how Bama is after a loss but NO ONE in national media talked about how great UGA was in 2023 and deserving of the opportunity of defending its national championship
I used to respect Fowler, but not after his comments that basically said Georgia was lucky to win the game. Luck had nothing to do with it. Georgia was actually called for more penalties than them. Stockton was also targeted another time, their DB had our receiver’s face mask in the end zone plus all of the no holding calls on them. College football on espn has become nothing but a saban love fest by everyone involved in the big game of the day. 🤮 If the PI had been called, there’s no guarantee that they would have scored and kept the Dawgs from scoring to win the game. This was poetic justice for all of the no calls on them vs Georgia, especially since Kirby arrived in Athens. Go Dawgs!
Bolden should probably be extra careful in the Auburn game. It wouldn’t surprise me if the refs look to vindicate for both the missed PI and the facemask that was missed after all the whining they’ve heard this week.
Nobody is talking about the 4th down conversion AL made in the UGA/AL game in tuscaloosa 2 years ago. Pass play that looked like it hit the ground but was never reviewed.
That being said Kj's play was PI. That was a late hit on GS. Probably didn't get the call because he didn't slide.
I would love to hear why this got a down vote!
Kirk and Joey on their Utube Nonstop show were effusive with kudos to Gunner. They noted his surgical passing, his leadership and toughness. Said he is NFL quality right now.
The two announcing morons seem to think that that single pass, if changed, was a guarantee that the pathetic, bottle throwing, player assaulting trash of a team had won the game when, in fact, it was a single play that was followed up by a big loss sack. We had over three minutes and three timeouts and they couldn’t stop our offense. I listen to Dantzler and Stinchcomb anyway with the television for background but will not entertain those two id1ots again. Just like I will continue to watch SEC Shorts but will end it before that former ohio state player starts yapping.
And I may invite a florida player over to throw a shoe through the television the next time I see saban on screen.
I, for one, appreciate KJ's honesty. He knows that he interfered with receiver, and he was happily surprised it didn't get called. There's no use in playing the "what about this, what about that," game. The refs missed the call as they did many others throughout the night — as they always do — on both sides of the ball. I'm actually more upset that he didn't try to make a play on the ball itself instead of the receiver. If he had, he probably would have had an easy INT as the ball was closer to him than anyone else. But it's easy to see why Bama fans are so upset, as would UGA fans if the tables were turned. A missed or bad call in the first quarter of a game, still leaves a bunch of time for the opposing team to recover from it. A bad call with a little over three minutes to go in the game, not so much. lJust like a grand slam in the first inning counts four runs just like a gland slam in the ninth inning. But the one in the ninth inning (depending on the score, of course) is going to typically have a lot more impact. So I get why Tide fans are mad. But, we Dawgs have had to eat sevveral bad calls over the years. You never forget. But you move on. And that's what we do now. Go Dawgs!
Herbstreit has hated Georgia ever since we beat him in the 1993 Citrus Bowl his senior year at Ohio State.
