ESPN has always hated UGA. Early on, they picked the blue bloods and stuck with them. I don't think Herbstreit ever got over the butt kickin he got from Georgia. Even when Georgia won two national championships back to back, ESPN was dismissive of Georgia. With Herbstreit, Stetson was always the small walk on QB, while Bryce Young was the superman, even though Stetson was taller and beat him in stats. I only watch ESPN when they have georgia games.
A defensive pass interference (PI) penalty in the end zone in college football results in the ball being placed at the 2-yard line (or half the distance to the goal line if snapped from inside the 2-yard line) and an automatic first down.
I guess you don't know the NCAA rules. It is placed at the 2-yard line if the play was within the 17 yard line. The play was outside the 17 yard line and would have been placed on the 19. The NFL rules it would have been placed at the 2-yard line but not NCAA rules.

Yaaaassss! The dawgs are considered the best team in America at the moment, and whipping Auburn and covering the 3 TD spread will show the state of Alabama is owned by the dawgs! Lets send the Aubarn team home crying!

Everything Disney touches lately has turned to garbage. Fowler and Herbstreit's suits were "filtered" on the broadcast to be Alabama colors. At first, I thought it was my TV and Xfinity, but it's there if you watch the replay on Disney+.

Listening to the Bama biased Fowler and HerbSqueak only made the victory sweeter, what an abysmal broadcasting duo for a game of this magnitude. I'd rather have had Dan Mullet and Nick Saban call the game. At least they wouldn't have pretended to be nuetral. Made me wish I still had my AM radio, I'd a dialed up Munson and Loran for the play by play and muted the TV.
How 'bout Howard Cossell & Gary Danielson? Woulda' made quite the Team. Lol.
What gets me is...Since when are Announcers allowed to criticize calls to the point those two brain-thrusts Do?....every week. And, it usually leans in one direction.
If they don't care who Wins....you're in for a treat. Lol....the audience is regaled with personal tales of Gunga Din and His Master. You're also libel to get advice on virtually any topic...so, listen close. The pearls just start rolling out of booth.
Oh yeah....and they occasional talk about football. But, only when there's a close call requiring replay dissection and an extra set of keen eyed Booth Referees to make the call. With backup from their own personal set of referees in the booth with em, of course.
Don't know what we'd do without Heckle & Jeckle "clearing up controversy" like they do (tic). They can do better....just sayin'. How much are they making on these broadcasts, again? Lol
Know who else bleeds Bama Crimson??? Paul Finebaum. Incapable of being critical of Bama and Objective with UGA....OR....Critical of Arch Manning and Objective with Texas....OR....Critical of Greg Sankey and objective with Lane Kiffin & LSU.
Heck....they're ALL nothing more than glorified Fans. Which is fine by me....just don't represent yourself as being "unbiased and informative", when that's only true for one of the two teams. Lol
