It was clear that Saturday’s performance against Alabama was not one of KJ Bolden’s best.

Never good when you lose the captain of the secondary. Thankfully the Barn doesn't appear to be as exotic a pass defense stressing challenge that say an Ole Miss or LSU would present. Get well, get rested the next two weeks KJ. Gotta have you for that stretch run a'comin. Go pups
Not worried. A talent like KJ is of course "irreplaceable"… yet we're plenty deep back there for him to take a breather and get healthier for bigger games and/or the homestretch. Go Dawgs!
auburn in Athens and a bye week should give several players time to recover. Here’s hoping Gunner only plays into the third quarter and the Dawgs walk away with a 41-17 win
Thanks, excellent post…..feel much better now!
Go Dawgs!
This is a classic Kirby Smart defense. Since he's been coach, Georgia has had more than a dozen DBs picked in the NFL draft, including 4 first-rounders. Don't know for sure, but guessing as many or more than any other program. This current group is every bit as good as the others. Go Dawgs!
Great article Connor, thank you. Yes, give KJ a two week rest. Really important with some big games coming up that all impact players are available. I appreciate KJ's candor when talking with Klein on the PI. GO DAWGS!
If KJ is not 100%, and if Riddle is healthy I say give him a shot to see what he can do against Auburn. UGA brought in JR for a reason, & his time should be now.
Bolden clearly was a step slow, and alot of the time that's the difference in making a play or giving up a play. Bolden playing hurt doesn't do anyone any good. Kirby should allow him to rest, because God forbid something were to happen where either Bolden further aggravates his injury or him favoring that leg causes him to injure his other leg. Unfortunately, it happens quite often, so it would be best to just avoid that at all costs, so this team can have KJ healthy and raring to go down the stretch.
JR was touted as being a playmaker at ECU, so let's have him play in KJs spot, and let's see what he can do.
It would have been awesome if T-Boogie were healthy, because I think he is going to be an absolute stud. Honestly, it is Green I expect to eventually take over KJs role in the secondary next season.
Still, though, between the injury concerns and with the time that has passed, I think alot of people have forgotten about Riddle's skills and what all he brings to the table as a highly talented Safety prospect. As I said previously, it sounds like it is about that time to allow the fanbase to get reacquainted with JR, and show everyone what this young man is capable of.
It was pass interference, but at the same time if he had played the ball, he could have easily intercept it. They are still crying about that call after getting every call since the beginning of time.
Well, I always want all of our starters to play, regardless of who we're playing against. As Bill Parcells used to say, "there's a reason why your backup quarterback is your backup quarterback." I don't want to see the second- and third-stringers until the game is well in hand, in the Dawgs' favor. That said, if he's genuinely unable to go, Kirby should hold him out, and I'm sure that he will. The Branch kid hustles and plays hard, but I'm not sure I'd start him. There have to be some other pieces we can plug in there. But I do agree with @WR_Dawgs_Fan88 that I think Tyrik Green is the next big star for our secondary. I think he was on his way to being a star THIS YEAR until the injury. He's missing so many snaps. Hope he comes back strong. Go Dawgs!
