Well guess you got your wish then. 🙄
Good one.
Gunner, please apologize to your defensive mates after fumbling the ball that cost your team the game, after the defense stepped up to give the offense the opportunity to win the game.
What about when he drove the team down field to score the tying TD and the defense Let Auburn get down field and kick the winning FG ? Sorry but this was a Team loss. Though he Did play very poorly today. Mostly after that head dive into the ground. I’m wondering did he have a slight concussion ? No disrespect to you at all but I feel this was a Whole Team loss.
If you’re a Dawgs fan this loss hurts right down to the bone. I feel it as much as anyone. But fire this guy and fire that guy aint the answer. I’m no medical expert but I believe Gunner might have had a slight concussion after that head dive into the ground. He just didn’t seem dialed in after that scary dive. It could’ve been much worse and broke his neck.
Defense made some stops but not nearly enough. And how about the botched FG by Woodring ? Was that a bad snap to Gunner as the holder ? I don’t know. It was a bad game on Both sides of the ball to me. Gunner certainly played poorly but I can’t pin it all on him.
Total team loss. I would have put Pug in second half. Gunner had sooo many bad throws tonight. Completely off target even with completions except for his final touchdown pass. I don't know why we don't practice blocking punts and field goals. They blocked our field goal and that was the difference in the score. Seems like it should be easy to do if you make an attempt on every punt or or FG. There was no ingenuity in our play calling.
I agree with your take Dallas. Frazier seemed like Maybe 90% certainly not 100%. And best of my knowledge feel free to correct me on this No Bo Walker. But I agree with you Phillips was on fire today and probably would’ve produced much more.
Walker played a few plays at the end of the game. I specifically remember him catching a pss but he didn't get much. Again, Frazier is RB1 and I know Kirby wouldn't take his job due to an injury. But I think he was putting us behind the chains too much because his first-down carries just weren't going anywhere. I do believe he will be better against Florida. I hope the entire team will be.
That ball was not stripped by any defender. It was abundantly clear that Stockton ran into Bobo and knocked the ball loose. Video verified that. It was purely on him.
I am a proud Dawg and a strong believer in Stockton but he threw two BAD interceptions, caused his own fumble, the field goal was missed because of the bad hold due to him not getting on the field in time and he missed a LOT of open receivers, specifically Luckie on the badly needed third down play. I said in the other chat that I fully expect to hear that he was injured and do not believe he should have been playing and I believe that’s what cost us points. He still gave us a chance but all of the misses and mistakes was too much to overcome.
Defense….? Well, that is another story.
Thx Dallas about Bo Walker. I agree with you again. I Fully understand people’s emotions are raw. But I also remember the Ray Goff as HC days with terrible clarity. Ray was and is a DGD, great person, terrible HC though. Some of our younger Dawgs fans don’t know and appreciate those days. You most certainly do !! Probably much better than me !
Agree with all you said except the hold on the FG. It was threads out like it was supposed to be. Timing might have been off. And Why was he late ? Did he think we were gonna punt the ball as it was gonna be a very long kick ? There are assistants on the sidelines that are supposed to send and retrieve players on and off the field. Gunner did have a terrible day. I’ve said that repeatedly. But so did the defense. So I stick with Team loss. My opinion don’t mean anything though it’s all in the record books .
Yeah, plenty of blame to go around. I'm in overreaction mode and bet you are too. Every Georgia fan is tonight.
As badly as we played, this was a winnable game which we managed to lose.

Maybe this will end up being a good loss, a game which inspires great effort and great improvement and serves as a springboard. Maybe it won't. In any case, it was an embarrassing home field loss to an Auburn team which had no business beating us. Taking nothing from them as the Tigers whipped the Dawgs, Georgia had no business playing such an uninspired, lackluster, unfocused, low energy game.
Kudos to the crowd in the stadium. From my recliner at home it looked and sounded like the fans in Sanford Stadium were loud, into the game, energetically doing their part, and yet were let down.
Maybe the coaches and the team had the flu in which case I retract most of what I just said.
Go, Dawgs!
